Best KPortal Reviews

Great pub with good choice of ales and ciders. Has got that old British pub feel. Great outdoor space too.
It was rather busy when we arrived, yet staff were attentive and pleasant.
Food was very nice, and locally sourced. Steak and Kidney pudding was one of the best I've had in a long time. Nice sized portions, lots of fresh vegetables. Nice choice of desserts to finish you off too. All for a very good price (we were pleasantly surprised)
Highly recommended, and probably best if you book your table ahead too.
On entering we were greeted with a lovely warm, country pub atmosphere. There were hops hanging from the ceiling, an open fire giving off a cosy warmth and traditional decorations.
We came for lunch after hearing many good things and was really pleased. They had a good selection of things available for lunchtime but myself and the others in my group had the turkey roast dinner which was only £5. Not only was this amazing value but it was very tasty too as was the desert.
On top of this there was a brilliant selection of local cider available which of the two I tasted were wonderful.
The food here was nice, we just ordered some cheesy chips which were very well priced. There was some greece/ oil at the bottom of the chip bowl (see photo attached). Will come back here again. Staff were very nice
We are staying nearby and called in for tea. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered a burger with chips, and ham, egg and chips. The food was very good value and freshly cooked. Outside there was a big beer garden and a play area for children. I would definitely call again.
Amazing experience! Amazing food and experience! Burger was so juicy and tasy! Pork belly unique
It made our trip to UK valuable!!!
My first visit with my son.
Charming host Phil, quick service, food was lovely. Felt very welcome and at home. Will definitely be back. Thank you.
Steak and kidney pudding I recommend.
The food is first class and tasty ???? I went today for lunch and had the homemade pie ???? amazing and the bread and butter pudding exquisite. And the local ciders were superb. Phil and the team were top notch and made is feel welcome a must visit if you are in the area
Came in here for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday, only one negative it did take them 30 mins to take our order once we'd sat and pressed the service bell a few time but the food was lush. Size of the fish was enormous, and was cooked perfectly. If waiting a while is the only negative ill take it, wonderful friendly staff, no real complaints.
