We went for breakfast, had the vegetarian and meat options. Was decent, coffee wasn't what we ordered though. Not bad, worth a visit.
The customer service was great, veg friendly, the seating was okay, full of people, however the food was not great. We ordered the English breakfast and really expected better food. It was expensive, the egg was unedible and flavourless, I didn't like the seasoning on the beans, sausages was really nice. Instead of poaxhed egg, we wanted a fried egg style. Also as they state its fully halal, we did not receive any proof, sk felt quite nervous but took their word for it. Overall, the food just lacked taste and quality which we are used to from other places. Only the hash brown and the drinks was nice.
The staff were super nice. Food was edible, but I think they should pay more attention to their menu. I liked what I ordered, but it did not taste as good as the one I have tried in one of their diners.
Was looking for the best english breakfast in Oxford and unfortunately this wasn’t it. The regular one was good and solid (missing black pudding), the vegetarian one was lacking some veggie sausage which have been around for long enough to end up on a menu like this. The tap water glasses were dirty, the guy serving us was charismatic. Latte - spot on, Americano tasted like dish water. Hit or miss overall.
Great cafe to stop by at the have breakfast or lunch with a slightly smaller yet great quality menu. Nice customer service and the food comes out quick. Pancakes were a little pricey and the burger was great all round. Would recommend coming here every so often if you can manage to find some parking in Oxford.
Fabulous brunch 10/10. Seriously love this place I can’t believe I have no been here before. There is something for everyone. This place is an absolute student haven. The food is absolutely EXCELLENT and is really well priced. My pancakes were absolutely delicious and only £7! my milkshake was made with real strawberrys and ice cream and was super super thick. Service was really fast and the guy was really sweet.
I came to Rick's Diner shortly before peak breakfast hours on a Sunday morning.
The diner itself is charming with plenty of natural wood and brick decor. The staff are friendly and the food is pretty good. Prices are decent. I would recommend Rick's for breakfast, overall.
The one downside to my visit is that I ordered eggs florentine and the eggs were prepared medium-boiled instead of poached (see photos). Overall, though, the taste was pretty nice even if the eggs were not runny at all.
If you have the chance, I'd recommend checking Rick's out.
Awesome breakfast stop. Nice and clean, well laid out interior and a good selection of food options on offer. We chose the pancakes and they were great. We found them really fresh and tasty. The coffee was a little weak for my taste but was still a great flavour.
There are QR codes on the tables so you can grab a seat and order contact free. The free wifi is an added bonus.
