It was the end of March. It was wet. There was nobody about. Everything was depressing. However, The Red Chair Cafe was open. It looked inviting. Things improved. It was dry. Families were chatting. Food arrived. Tea & coffee arrived. The food was good. The green tea was too. Suddenly, life improved. We chatted to the owners about tea, travel, bikes (ones with engines). Life was good. We'll go back.
A very welcoming deceptively spacious cosy place to eat and relax. Lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans as well as a daily specials choice all freshly made. The salads are beautifully presented. A little gem
Delightful little cafe with an absolutely superb range of #glutenfree choices , all freshly baked, in the cafe, daily .
Very Comfortable , with a very homely atmosphere , attentive service.
I found it by chance a few days ago on a visit to Launceston and popped in for a toasted tea cake , and coffee, both of which were delicious. I promised to go back soon with my hubby and we visited on Thursday and partook of gluten free cornish cream tea. The scones were absolutely melt in the mouth . Ray always makes it clear when he enjoys his food - and to quote ‘ the best scone I have ever eaten’. I would agree ( and we will be going back for a lunch another time ????).
Many thanks to the lovely owners for having created this wonderful place . It’s most unusual to find a cafe or indeed any eatery that caters so well for those of us with gluten intolerance or coeliac . I’ve attached a couple of photos of the food and the cafe . 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ but why take my word for it when you could visit yourself.
Also an excellent choice of #vegetarian and #vegan food ( though all appetites and food tastes are catered for . Looking forward already to our return visit soon.
I and my partner came for lunch as part of our holidays, and I highly recommend this place to anyone passing by or visiting.
They cater for vegetarians and people who are gluten-free , food came out on time and the service was 10/10.
After just finding out I needed to go gluten free I was pretty scared after finding this little gem & talking & eating in the little red cafe everything seems better the food was lovely the service thank you so much & the lemon cake amazing ( gluten free ????)
Quaint building next to the historic arch in this lovely town. Delicious coffee and the service was awesome. Our dog got a treat, too.
We arrived abit late on a Sunday afternoon but the staff still helped us out with a little meal before our journey home they were really friendly and the food was tasty and excellent quality ????????
Charming tearoom in the heart of a very interesting old county town. Excellent teacakes and delicious Earl Grey tea with rose petals. Dog friendly and great service.
