Best KPortal Reviews
Great place to eat in a relaxed atmosphere.
Quality tasty food and good selection on the menu.
The staff are attentive and give good service.
Recommend the Scallop starter with black pudding and carrot puree
The seafood stew is not only very tasty but has an excellent variety of seafood.
This place is now my go to restaurant for our night out despite it being a 40 minute drive from where we live.
Whilst the menu has no mention of any vegan dishes, the restaurant are happy to offer vegan versions of (some) of their dishes - you just have to ask. We went with a vegan version of their Fungi and Vegetable pizzas so that kept it pretty easy. The place was buzzing and the staff were friendly.
My favourite place to eat in the area. Portion sizes have reduced of late, but still very tasty
It's fantastic to find such an excellent restaurant, not too far away from where we live, that offers a high class menu delivering high class food. Really good. The table service was akin to what you would find in an expensive city restaurant with one hand behind the back as food is served. Yes, the whole ambience is much more casual than city restaurants but, for me, little touches like that make a difference. It took us around 45 minutes to get there but, who cares? When you find somewhere 'that' good it's well worth the journey! The food was piping hot, very attractively displayed on the plate, and full of flavour. Prices, very good. Don't hesitate....
An excellent restaurant with fantastic food served by wonderful staff at really good prices. Highly recommended.
Stunning food in a beautiful location. We are holidaying in Dumfries and Galloway and came here on recommendation of the property we are staying at.
Had the calamari and prawn cocktail to start, both excellently prepared and presented, the garlic flatbread was heaven though, light, not greasy at all.
Mains of bolognase pizza and carbonara did not disappoint, the freshly cooked food just bursts with flavour without being overpowering.
The Tiramisu was just delicious, the best I've ever tasted.
The food took only slightly longer to arrive than at other places and it is well worth the wait, grab a cocktail and let the chefs work their magic!
A definite hidden gem a must for if you are in the area or passing through!
We enjoyed a lovely meal, the king prawns were the best I've ever had and my partner enjoyed the meatballs that just melted in your mouth. I would highly recommend this little restaurant was excellent.
A fantastic, local restaurant. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. The food is great too. What more could you ask for.
