Got some fish and chips, jacket potatoes, cheesy chips and halloumi fries. Prices were reasonable and portions were really good. Quick service but the lady who served the food was a bit short on responses which felt unwelcoming. Probably because they were busy. Plenty of seating inside the shop or even just outside, there are benches to sit and enjoy your food to good views. You may have to share your food with the swans and ducks lurking around though. Definitely recommend it and might go back again.
Found this place by accident and so glad we did.
Friendly ladies behind the counter, we had 3 mini fish and chip meals and wasn’t expecting 3 choices of curry sauce.
Plenty of batter on the fish and who doesn’t enjoy some crispy batter bits thrown in with your chips.
We travel a lot and got to be the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time.
DELICIOUS!!
Good price too at least than £25 for 3 meals we were all satisfied with the serving.

Why is it that, nice looking places turn out not so nice? Fish was over battered ( crispier than others ) like crisps falling off, chips were only a few full ones ( buried beneath was scraps). This was eating in, so would not like to see what you get when you take it out. Maybe they don't really like passing trade ????????, service was nothing special either.
Had fish chips peas. Fish had more batter than fish. Chips was looking like scraps. ( Must of been what's left from the woman that served herself that walked in front of me entering the chippy as she served herself chips ) Had to go to counter ask for service. No one came to ask if all was ok. No one asked if all was ok on paying. Clothes are drying on the radiator in the sit in dining area. Recommend people to go elsewhere for sit down dining.
Had a lovely fish and chips and chicken and chips salad curry sauce we sat in but you can take out which is nice as you can sit over the road by the river staff friendly

Excellent fish and chip shop with fresh fish and fresh chips. The reviews are true and you can either have some take away or you can sit inside and enjoy a delicious meal. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is something homely about this place.
Very happy that I have discovered this place and great that I have the option of sitting in and eating or take away.
Wow mobydick on a plate ,perfect fish crispy batter could'nt be better ,generous chips mushy peas ,wife ate jacket potato, lovely crisp salad, pot tea for 2 prox 19£ the lot very tasty enjoyed a fine meal quick service,we 1st in restaurant and in minutes was full of happy customers ,can't wait to go back .
