10/10!! We had a pie and fish & chips. The fish batter was perfect and cooked to perfection, light and golden brown, not too thick, with a slice of lemon. Great service, lovely people who work there. We ate in although we tend to get a takeaway and we’ll do it again. Keep up the great work!
Not a very fish and chips person but since we were by the coast we thought we'd have some nice fresh fish. Looked in Google for somewhere nice to eat and found Maddy's. Went there and didn't convince me from the outside but decided to give it a go. What a good choice!!! Best fish and chips I've ever tried, 0 oily, chips were perfect, fish was so crunchy, a lot of food so if you're hungry this is your place. The place looks a bit old but it's lovely and the waitress was so friendly. Would recommend 100%!!
Friendly atmosphere, food was so delicious I ordered what I would usually order at my local and couldn’t eat it all as the portions were a lot more than I’m use to. Food served fresh and boiling hot.
Absolutely brilliant chippy! We sat in the cafe bit to eat which was lovely. Good job this isn’t my local chippy otherwise I’d be the size of a whale! Cant wait to return ????
We decided to have fish & chips in the sit down restaurant at maddys, We were given time to look through the menu,& our order was soon taken by the friendly staff, I had the daily haddock special & my partner had the cod, This was cooked fresh to order,& did not disappoint, The fish had a lovely crispy golden batter, & a really good portion size, I had a glass of house white wine, & that was equally lovely as well, Keep up the good work guys & see you again next time we are down ????
Nice, typical seaside fish and chips plaice, haha. Service was quick, social distancing measures in effect. Good menu and generous portions, though plaice was undercooked and oily. Overall good experience nonetheless. High chair also provided, sanitised
Great meal and service. Couldn't ask for more on a rainy and miserable February. The scones were perfect. Fish and chips were prepared to perfection.
Great food and a good price. Large fish wasn't much more expensive than a small fish so we split a big one. Recommended!
