First time customer last night. Very nice hot & sour soup. Dishes were fully of meat and flavour. Not at all greasy like some. It was delivered on time too. Will definitely use again.
We ordered a set meal but asked for boiled rice to be swapped for special rice. Waited 2 hours for delivery to be handed 2 boxes of rice. When I called back the girl on the phone was super rude, refused to give a refund and told us she would send it out again but charge us for it! She also hung up on me TWICE! We’ve ordered from here for years but the service and quality has really gone down hill. Won’t be ordering from here again.
We do enjoy supporting local businesses where we can but last nights takeaway from Lucky Star was our last. Ordered a typical meal for two. We were told 40-50 min wait, no problem. After 1 hr 15 mins we rang to check where our order was. 1 hr 25 mins it turned up. It was cold and the dishes were very bland. We ended up throwing half out as it wasn’t palatable.
My husband rang the manager to talk about it, only to be met with resistance and rudeness. 10% off a meal was offered for tonight only, he declined to refund the low quality meal we waited a long time for. Unfortunately we won’t be back.
We have supported this takeaway over the years but recently its not as good. First they removed real chillies and substituted for chilli oil or similar. Now the flavours have gone down hill. Sweet and sour has lost its sour and is just sweet , black bean Is bland . Its dissapointing as used to be so good.
Always deliver when they say they will. Lovely cheery person on the phone and my order is always correct and very hot when it arrives.
Food an hour late and when I phoned them the man was shouting at me saying the delivery driver was outside but no one was there. The food wasn’t up to its usual standard and the order was wrong. Such a shame because they are normally really good
Got food poisoning and have been ill for days. I used to order food here all the time and thought I would treat myself to a Chinese. Looks like they’ve increase the prices and decreased there food quality. Definitely won’t be ordering here again.
Ordered at 5.40 pm told 1.5 hours for delivery, ok they are busy its a saturday night...arrived at 8.05pm .. refused order totally not acceptable food is ok but not worth 2.5 hours wait... me and my 7 year old daughter made other arrangements to eat ...considering it is a Saturday night treat for us ! lucky star have failed a local and loyal customer...
