I went for dinner to this sweet neighborhood pub down a small lane in town. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I was served by Alan who was great in every way. We had a chance to chat a bit and he was informative and friendly. The food was excellent as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Have been driving past this place for about 20 years and never stopped. We did at last. And it was fantastic. Best rustic local pub I've been to in years. Really cheap drinks. The best home cooked food, had a Sunday roast and was as if my late grandma had made it. Literally the best gravy (3 meat juice) I have had in years.

Had lunch here after a walk on Easter Monday. What a little gem! A wonderful old building, good food and a lovely atmosphere. It was quiet, with an open fire burning, and simply amazing chunky chips. Had a nice chat with the publican afterwards who has been there 40 years. Highly recommended.
Archetypal British pub. Run by a lovely gentleman who has been there for 42 years. A first class pint of real ale and a good Sunday roast. The landlord is standing down soon and family are taking over.
Dating from the 15th century, this quirky pub is renowned for the eclectic mix of artifacts on the walls and ceiling. Almost every square inch is covered. The landord in 1775 played cricket for England. Only one ale on tap when I visited, but it was good. Limited menu. Friendly landlord. Small outside seating area and car park.

Visited this lovely pub today.Staff very polite and helpful.Had a lovely Haddock sandwich and found it hard to eat all of it.Also being a dog friendly pub I will go back again with a friend and her dog.Best pub for good food and atmosphere.Will definitely return again soon with some friends.
We went in for a lunch, we order Steak and kidney pie, When it came it was absolutely delicious. Could not fault it we both said we liked it and we would be back and we will. Very old-fashioned pub and it's good to see. The pub had a good atmosphere and it was very interesting inside. We had a beer each and it was excellent could not fault it. Well done.
