We had a lovely meal at the Green man, the potion size was very large. I then ate a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was delicious. The staff were extremely helpful and chatty. The young staff member Taylor was so helpful to us she deserves a mention. 10/10 would definitely recommend eating here.
Went for a mid week lunch and it was great! Good quality sandwich and chips, great range of beers and ales on tap, great service. Looks like they've got a lot planned in the diary with chef nights etc. Absolutely going to be heading back
Fantastic, attentive staff, great value. Portion's were large. Recent owners deserve to be supported. Utterly incomparable to the previous owners. Easy to park. Decent drinks, will definately return with friends and try to help promote this rare gem of a pub.
Lunch today with a family member from London. Wonderful selection on lunch menu. Food was excellent. Service was so friendly and whilst not so busy atmosphere was good and we where able to enjoy quality time. Bonus was I don't have to cook tonight and double bonus was seniors discount today.

Very disappointed with our lunch on Sunday after seeing many good reviews. We were booked for a 1 30 table and it wasn't particularly busy in the restaurant area but they sat us in between two family tables with children, although could have sat us further up the restaurant area where it was couples dining, I do not have a problem with children as have grown up ones! Had to wait a while for our order to be taken (after people who sat down after us) order 2 starters and 2 mains, one starter they said no ciabatta bread available and would have to have toast- no problems with that. Starters eaten OK plates and cutlery cleared, husbands pork arrived - asked for apple sauce but was just told haven't got any, no apologies. My beef turned up had to ask for cutlery and horseradish took an age to turn up and had told my husband to eat his as no point us both having cold meals. His pork was so tuff he couldn't eat it. Mine was OK so shared my meat with him. When our plates were cleared, lots left on one plate, was asked if everything was OK and explained that couldn't eat the pork. Not once did anyone come up whilst we where having our meal to check that all was OK. Never bothered with deserts as had already run out of ice cream. Went to the bar to pay the bill was not asked if everything had been OK even though the waiter chap had been back behind the bar again, ended paying in full for both meals. The young waitress that was on could also do with some customer training.
They were not serving food at the time but the Green Man had just been taken over by new owners. They are serving food now. Atmosphere was great. Log fire was lit so made it cosy. Staff friendly.
How a village pub should be. A good selection of beer and a welcoming atmosphere. Will return to try the food, which looked good.
Went to the first Tuesaday bike night at the Green Man. Had the pizza deal and it was 10/10. Staff could not be more friendly. Have added it to our list of regular rides out. Some really nice winding roads too. What's not to love.
