What a great place after many times deciding against this place we finally thought let's give it a go and what a great place it is lovely hot, fresh, Chinese they have such a big Menu so ordering was a bit drawn out. We ordered were given a 45 min time to collect and was ready as soon as you arrived piping hot well done would highly recommend.
Yet another visit this time just a meal for one person but still the same great service and food. Golden River does really deliver.
This is our “Go To” takeaway. The food is always very well cooked and presented. We often request food to be spicy or no mushrooms and they are always accommodating.
Friendly staff and great food. Piping hot and wonderfully fresh. I would recommend Golden River.
Visited here recently for a change from our usual takeaway. Food was OK, but not as tasty as what we're used to. Some dishes were way too salty and the noodles almost tasted a bit burnt? For the prices we paid, we won't rush back.
Have ordered from here many times. Top of our fave Chinese takeaways. Excellent hot delicious food and friendly service. Highly recommend.
Food is OK if you collect. Delivery is a joke, your be told an hour but realistically you will wait between 2-3 hours and receive cold food. This has happened every time we have tried the delivery service.
The Girl that currently works on a Saturday evening is nothing short of rude! Extremely poor customer service skills.
I would recommend avoiding Saturdays when this Girl is working, when taking the order, she read it back twice and stated it would be 45min to 1hr delivery. After waiting 1hr and 50min for my order 50 minutes longer than expected and having read the order back twice, upon delivery the order was still wrong!
when I called back to explain this and to ask her to read the order back her response was “I must have got it wrong” no apology, which really would have been BASIC manners.
When told this wasn’t good enough her response “ok”.. I asked for her name and she hung up the phone highlighting how rude she really is!
I think a review of Saturday girl is needed before further customers are lost!!
The food itself I cannot fault! I would give 5* for this and the delivery man was highly apologetic
Lovely food, nice people, varied menu, but my favorites are the classic beef chow mein and sweet and sour chicken balls.Always fresh and hot.I Don't understand the reviews regarding deliveries as its collection only.
Just moved into the Area, got a good welcome. The lady behind the counter was very helpful and gave us good advice.
The food was hot and tasty with large portions. We will definitely become regulars. Thank you
