I stayed here with my mum and grandma for 5 nights couple weeks ago, we had a lovely visit with Gill. Such a lovely person inside and out. We couldn’t of had a more relaxing stay and a better host. Gill really goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. She made us feel very welcome, it’s just like staying at a family members house. Rooms are absolutely spotless, super clean! Also breakfast... best homemade pancakes I have ever tasted. Wow! Definitely recommend to stay to anyone. We loved our stay! Thanks Gill, see you again!
A lovely stay at ghillie duh. Gillian is such a lovely friendly person. The rooms are gorgeous. And breakfast is amazing. What more could you ask for. And near Culloden and Inverness etc. Fantastic. A lovely garden area to sit in too and the lovely cows come over to see you from the field at the fence. Lovely. X
Our group of two couples stayed a night in Ghillie Dhu at the end of a recent visit to Scotland. We selected Gill's place primarily because it is so close to the airport and we wanted to make our morning flight with a minimum of effort. Gill met us in the driveway and welcomed us into her place. Both of our rooms were spotless, brand new, with a picture window overlooking a large pasture where sheep were grazing.||||Even though we were well out of town, it's a quick, easy ride into the center of Inverness, as well as various sights in the area, notably Loch Ness.||||Breakfast was the best we had on our trip, a full Scottish breakfast with special, locally produced sausage, black pudding, perfectly fried egg and more. Gill is a delightful person, very engaging and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with her. She has loads of helpful information about restaurants and sightseeing in the area.||||A very friendly, comfortable place to stay.
We have stayed at Gill's B&B for three times now and recommended it to everyone we know.||The rooms are perfect clean and cosy, so we slept like feeling at home.||The breakfast is fresh and tasty. I prefer her pancakes (love them!) with fruits while my husband always takes porridge.||Gill knows lots about places to visit around and gives you good tips where to go arround.||Visiting Ghillie Due is like visiting family for us.
We stayed here for two nights last week. Wonderful, very quiet rural location but very convenient for Inverness and Culloden area. Place was immaculate, room very comfortable. Host Gillian was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Had to leave early on last day and she provided a packed breakfast and takeaway tea and coffee. Cannot recommend this place more highly.
It is with much delay that I write this review (we went to Gillie in July) but I wanted to do it because we had a great stay with a very comfortable room, as well as good times with our host. I would like have stayed more days there than reserved! It's really beautiful and the host is gorgeous, she is very friendly and awesome lovingly!
Parking space is right in front of the house.
The rooms are very beautiful and in good style!
There are good local restaurants not far and really beautiful landscape around the location.
Cawdor castle is not far, but it's not open all days. To visit that you have to reserve on the internet.
Had a great stay and a lovley host. Breakfast was great and rooms nice &cozy. The area is very quite and on the landside. They view is great over the landscape. We would recommend the b&b to anyone!!!
