I've been using Ronnie's garage for repairs and servicing since we first moved to the area about 30 years ago and I'm confident you would find it difficult to come across a more honest, dedicated, or competent mechanic. He has an enormous amount of experience with all vehicle makes and the garage is always busy. He has never failed to resolve a problem with any of my cars. His son, Chris, is a also a fully qualified mechanic and now works with Ron.
I'd recommend them without any hesitation.
I had a flat tyre and drove here on the spare. They would have fixed the puncture for £20 like they did another customer while I was there, but the tyre was knackered anyway. I left 20 mins later with a new tyre at a good price. Good lads and clearly in demand
Wouldn't trust my vehicles with anyone else, great workmanship, they dont overcharge and cant fault the turnround time, the only problem is getting booked in as they are so good at what they do.
The guys at the garage are always happy to help. I have dealt with Chris and Ronnie and the are both very professional and well knowledgeable.

Booked my car in for some work. They said they would get me a price and be in touch. Waited for a week and nothing. Called back in and waited for 10 minutes to be seen as the guy who felt with me in the end was more interested in checking the tyres he had on display than coming to deal with me. The lad then looked around the office to see if he could find the details on a piece of paper for the quote. He apologised and said he would sort it. I never showed up at the appointment as I never got a call with the price. Poor customer service if you ask me
I would think twice before using this trader (Ronnie Gallagher). On 30th August 2022 I left my wife’s car with him for engine head overhaul. I was advised that it would take approx. 2 weeks for the work. At this point he advised that he could not complete the work because his suppliers could not get the required gaskets etc. At that time I was obliged to wait as gaskets were hard to find. After many calls to him with no advance on the gaskets I managed to buy the required gaskets etc. These were given to Ronnie on 23rd March 2023, where to my dismay I found the car had been worked on outside and was at the mercy of the elements. He advised that he was going on Holiday but would continue the work on his return. This has not happened and despite many calls and visits he would not do the work that he had agreed to. I then reported him to Trading Standards and BBC Watchdog. I am now concerned that the car is now a total loss much to my wife’s distress. This trader appears to have little or no moral compass and I would advise anyone to avoid giving him any work should the same happen to you as has happened to us.
Went here for a tyre replacement due to MOT advisory. 2 great mechanics sorted it out for me. No appointment needed which is ideal for me. Great service and very reasonable prices.
