Sat 2nd March 2024. Bought a few items including sausage and bacon. Just cooked them for breakfast and both superb taste and quality.
Absolutely superb. Friendly and knowledgeable butcher selling local, high quality produce for reasonable prices. Just how it should be. We'll certainly be back next time we visit Malton.
Disappointed. Steak pie meat was so tough we had to scoop it out and cook it until tender. Lamb chop...same story...pan fried it (as I usually do) but it also turned out too tough to eat. I'm afraid I'm not likely to go back.
The best butcher you can find!!! Paul is amazing & so is his staff!! The scorched eggs are amazing & so are the sausages. You can also get pheasants during season!!!
This shop is gorgeous. Absolute quality meats and fish surround you from all sides. The picnic pie was outstanding. Best pie I've ever had and the staff were funny and nice. Definitely coming again.
Also the salmon wellington was the best I have ever had. Whatever was in that sauce was divine!
How did I survive before finding this treasure. Well done guys, great homemade produce. Pies with meat in them, makes a change from supermarket slop.
Great friendly service, with added product info. Everything looked so fresh, so bought a variety of meats to try. We had the huge sausages for tea last night. The best we’ve tasted. Worth the trip from Hull and we will definitely visiting again.
Came over from Dewsbury to visit Malton for the day. Lovely little town with marvelous shops. We visited the Talbot Yard food court and came across this little butchers .. Food 2 Remember. What a marvel of a butchers. Lovely display of meats and pies. Bought a BIG strain sale sale pie of which we shall be having today for Sunday lunch. Bought some lovely homemade fishcakes of varying flavours. Also bought just one pork pie. I've had lots of pork pies over the years but this as for to be the best one I have ever tasted. Packed full of flavour. No gristle.. just meat and deliciousness. Can't wait to taste the rest of what we have bought. Made my day and will definitely return for more ???? And the pooch got a free ball of mince ????
