Very nice place, good food and friendly stuff. The most important thing was, the food is very fresh. Highly recommend ????
Pretty good for an all-you-can-eat. Menu better in the evening, when it's a little more expensive (eg. shredded duck rather than chicken). There's even help-yourself desert.
A different experience.
This is definitely the strangest dining experience for us, thus far.
Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the venue was relatively clean.
However the food was very disappointing and there wasn't much choice either.
The manager introduced himself and started with an apology about the birthday balloon and proceeded to mention the fried rice may be too dry, if it was let him know and he would change it instantly.
He also mentioned if there was anything missing from the buffet or we wanted fresh let him know.
Throughout the meal there was Jazz playing from a disco themed LED stand parallel to our table.
Oddly the LEDs beamed and illuminated the area around us. Additionally there was a huge table of tat located opposite the toilets.
Staff were eating behind the hot plate and also using a tooth pic whilst behind the bar but continued to work without washing hands.
All this aside the manager was a legend singing my daughter happy birthday whilst playing a guitar and presenting her a heart shaped box.
Followed by a final apology for not visiting our table again during our meal.
Strange!
Since their refurbished and new staff from the Mayflower the improvements are great. Lovely crisp white tablecloths and linen serviettes. Improvements to the buffet food too. In an emergency ten days ago they agreed to sort out a range of dishes as a take away. They had planned to launch a take away service but at the time weren't doing them. So thanks again to helping us out... love them all.
Went as just needed to eat. Thought it would be OK as all you can eat for under £15. What do you expect for that ?? Well everything was only Luke warm, had to ask a few times for trays to be refilled. Crispy duck with pancakes. Pancakes were dry and just crumbled. The duck if that what is was was cut so fine could have been anything !! Many if the dishes were to spicy for my liking and dry. The rice has seen better days for sure and so little in the pot it dried put quickly. It was a Tuesday and not much turnover but not a customer's problem. Would zi go back. Simple answer no
Terrible service went for birthday celebration all you can eat no milk for my tea waited 1/2 hr for milk tea got cold went to get some food and there wasn't no plates, when plates eventually arrived there was no food so had to wait again for some to be cooked, very limited choice . Desert consisted of some mixed fruit in syrup but only the juice left but plenty of ice cream. This meal costs 19 95 per person, the place was so disorganized I was very disappointed will never go again.
Food is horrendous... all you can eat ? Myself and my partner couldn't manage one plate, the staff were friendly enough however the place left us feeling dirty, tables were sticky walls damaged and dull lighting making it a very unfortable place to sit and eat, and to top it all off you could indulge in a dry stale prawn cracker that felt like eating a polystyrene cup from a burger van in a lay by. Terrible experience refused to pay £15 a head
My first time at this restaurant.
Dining at around 7.30, a reasonable number of people in the restaurant.
Plenty of choice, all very nice, fresh and hot, lots of very distinct flavours.
An interesting mix of Chinese and Indian dishes and Chips and onion rings as well!
They sell a good range of drinks, I went for the 'Ghurka' lager, very interesting and well worth a try, a very nice, slightly dry lager, with a lot of flavour.
Quite a few of the customers seemed to be going for cocktails, of which there is quite a choice.
Excellent value, buffet and a pint was around £17.50
Staff were welcoming, friendly and unobtrusive, Used plates seem to just 'disappear'
There was no sense of being rushed or hurried out.
Altogether a very enjoyable experience and if I am in the area again, I would definitely consider another visit!
