Takeaway this evening was lovely. We had duck spring rolls and prawn toast - piping hot and tasted great. Mains was Char sui pork in black bean sauce and fried rice, and special chow mein - again it was very tasty with plenty of vegetables too.
Meal was Not great, food was ok but nothing special asked for crispy beef in chillie and honey but more like solid rubber in black bean sauce, bbq sauce was lumpy like slime, worst part was the spring rolls had plastic in them. Chips and curry sauce was nice and so was the rice.
Service, told collection at 20:30 but wait was much longer and managed to get food 20 mins later, which sadly wasn't very hot if I'm honest.
when placing the order the phone was answered then immediately told (abruptly) to wait before placing order and 10 mins later placed it.
Atmosphere, I get they're busy on a Saturday but abrupt, impatient and a little rude. The shop was crammed (thinking it would mean good food but not this time) some bloke came in drunk asking for food but without money as they don't take card so she made him some for free which was decent of her tbh.
I dont personally think I'll order from here again but it was busy so maybe just not to my taste.
A waste of +£30 and left half of it so I'll stick with the one in ripon.

I ordered takeaway last night. Beef and black bean sauce and salt and pepper prawns. It was Absolutely gorgeous food, it was piping hot and cooked perfectly. No complaints.
Every main dish is bulked up with cheap ingredients. Copious amounts of carrot and onion. Absolutely no bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, mushrooms etc. Served in a watery sauce too. If over £8 for this with chips is acceptable, go for it. Oh, and the King Prawns are NOT king by any stretch of the imagination and quantity has just been reduced to a paltry 9 if you're lucky!
Nice takeaway first class service great food loverly church nearby as well.
Ordered food from here for the second time yesterday. Food was ok but full of shredded carrots and portions were quite small. Main issue is being short changed by the young male cashier by £5 on both occasions without any form of acknowledgment/apology. Check your change as they do not do card payment. I will not use again.
