Popped in Dan's shack for shelter as the heavens opened. They were very friendly and the food prices looked great. ???? going by the good reviews, this place is worth a visit!

Found this place on Google maps and it had great reviews, so we paid it a visit for lunch. Had to pay to park the car which was a bummer, but grub was lovely. Wife was hungry and had two toasted cheese sarnies and I had the best bacon bap in ages .
Great freshly cooked burger decent prices and nice atmosphere. worth using for food in the area. i was passing on the way back after a bike ride. toilets are next door and the marina sitting area is nice. there is a covered seating area too if needed. overall something a bit different which is nice to see and a local business worth supporting in the age of cafe chains
Simple comfort food and snacks, amazing value for money. Vegetarian options available and the staff are just so upbeat and inviting! This little shack feels so homey and a welcomed treat after being out on the water.
We'd been out kayaking on the lake for my YouTube channel More Than Just a Cleaner, and fancied a bite when we got back. Decent burgers and beverages at a reasonable price ????????
Dan's shack is the best place for coffee and a light bite around Bowness. It's away from the crowds, has great seating options and great coffee. Nice to sit here and have the birds visit for crumbs, exceptionally tame, and listen to the wind in the yacht rigging behind. Still the absolute best place in bowness for a coffee and a toastie,both perfect and served by great staff. £5.50 for a coffee and a toastie.
