Fantastic little family business offering a good selection of light meal options, or just a drink and a snack. They have garden tables, and a few under cover if it rains
Loved the stop here in the middle of a long walk.
The owners had their patrons best interests at heart by luring all the wasps to a little "feeding station" with jam or some other sweet treats, so they mostly stayed away from the outdoor tables.
We had only a tea and a coffee, so can't comment in the food. It looked like a great tea menu with cream tea and loads of other tummy cakes, including gluten free and vegan.
A delightful little outdoor space for tired legs.
There is only 1 single toilet outside the main building, so could find a small queue.
A wonderfully quaint little tea room run by a (couple?) from their own back garden, which they’ve obviously converted into a stunning outside area with plenty of tables under shade. Everything is homemade and tastes delicious. We had scones, tea, apple juice and ginger cake. Can’t fault any of it. The garden is well kept and has beautiful flowers. Menu and prices clearly shown and payment can be made by card/contactless. So glad I came across it via Google Maps because it is tucked away. Love to help out an independent business. Didn’t speak to the lady but the man and their waitress were both very polite and friendly. Definitely recommend!
I had seen signs locally indicating a tearoom that offered cream teas by Kilve beach. On arrival we were surprised to find it was just a house serving drinks and food in their back garden. Although pretty, in a old cottage style garden style, it was looking tatty and rundown. There was a couple of tables in a small outhouse if it was rainy. You have to queue at the back door to have your order taken. The chap taking orders was also running around the garden like an athlete. I ordered 2 cream teas and a apple juice with a brownie. The cream tea arrived with no tea..... At no point we were told the cream tea didn't exist. It was scones with cream and jam, tea not included!! The man who took my order told me he should have let me know the cream tea didn't come with tea. Apparently not many people want cream teas, they just want scones! Tea was available. At an extra cost. Everything is served on paper plates and in paper cups. Which is understandable, as it was very busy and washing up on top of serving everyone would be impossible for a couple of people. The scones and brownie were absolutely delicious. Light fluffy and very tasty. There is a toilet for customers and free parking too.
One of the most wonderful, beautiful places that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing! I stumbled across this place after a visit to the beach. I didn’t even know that existed. I walked in and was surrounded by beautiful scents from the flowers, bird song and buzzing bees busy at work! I ordered the egg and cress sandwich and elderflower. It arrived very quickly. The gentleman serving me explained it was just run from their house. They were a lovely couple with a beautiful garden. I’m pleased they let people share it with them! Will definitely be returning.
Lovely location! And really liked the quaintness of this venue. Seems really popular for walkers, cyclists, tourists, children, older people - everyone welcome! Price for a cream tea is a little steep I have to say!
The weather was beautiful so eating outside was OK apart from the bugs flying around, don't know if they have seats inside, plenty of water for the dogs though our two were fuzzy and just watched the birds drink, food and drink were brought out quickly.
Good food and service. The garden is generally pretty with flowers and seating. There are a huge amount of wasps around the recycling bins which visited the seating areas. Other than this, it was enjoyable. Parking onsite, very close to Kilve Beach, so great location.
