It's such a lovely welcoming pub! We have been for Sunday lunch twice this year already as it's so beautiful. We sat in the bar area next to the log fire, which was cosy. Dogs allowed in this area, too, which is great after a long walk along the seafront.
Wasn't sure what to expect from a locals pub, but the food was great, service friendly with a great view of the ocean. And I didn't think it expensive.

The cabin has changed hands and clearly the new owners are seriously making a difference. I expect great things from the cabin. Always a great atmosphere and amazing views from the restaurant. Food good as well.
I visited the cabin only this week and was pleased to say they have done the work and now you have a front and a side entrance. The food was good and not expensive. The service was fine as well. My only negative comments were open fire not lit. The Duke box has gone.
Overall though it's a 5 star experience.
We had Sunday lunch for 13 of us, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent, our table had meat and vegetarian choices with all getting great reviews with plenty of veg for all. The kids options also went down well. Desserts were also top notch, will be coming back.
Chanced upon this place whilst looking for somewhere to sit down, eat and appreciate the view and the sunshine!
The roof terrace is great and there was a decent live band doing covers whilst we were there which added to the atmosphere.
We tried the small plates which were very tasty. There is a small bar with limited choice but we had the option to walk up to the main bar if we wanted something different.
We could happily have stayed there all evening but we were only down for the day. Perhaps we'll stay overnight next time!

Really good, tasty home cooked meals. Chefs, Andy and Chloe deserve a bigger stage. Easily one of the best pies(minted lamb) I’ve ever had. Our server was a little bit quirky but it made for a great experience. I recommend this restaurant, its food,drinks and staff. Keep up the good work guys. Word will get around and you’ll be avalanched with bookings.
