This was not a nice experience after reading good reviews this was a complete let down. We ordered Singapore noodles which were greasy soft and over cooked and lacked flavour also contained no prawns which you would expect in any other Singapore noodles. The prawn crackers were cooked days ago as they were also semi soft were fishy tasting not good and not to the standard of a hot prawn cracker that you might get in a decent place. The sweet and sour chicken was pink chicken and again under flavoured. The fried rice was OK but obviously the chef loves dark soy as I was the darkest fried rice I have seen and didn't contain egg or spring onions like it should. Spring rolls were soggy as they were put into a foil box what do you expect when you put fried good into a foil box but soggy. The Chicken Satay was OK but unlike the others it was a bit over flavoured. So all and all this was a family treat. Won't be back people compare this as a good Chinese I wouldn't go back. This has put me off ordering Chinese food to be honest. (Note to chef I worked with Chinese food for years and a good recipe for Sweet and Sour would be rice wine vinegar equal amounts of light soy ketchup sugar and splash of dark soy mix sauce done. Stir fry your chicken peppers pineapple and onions. Job done
Ordered sweet & sour chicken Cantonese style. It didn't taste like sweet & sour. Ordered mini spring rolls they were soggy and the fulling was mush. Sorry but I wouldn't order again.
Just had singapore rice the rice was very stodgy the ham in it was spam and if you look up the recipe there should be prawns not one to be seen.
Wife had combination satay no taste of nuts what so ever sauce was tastless
Pity ive had meals from here before and they were brilliant so either the chef has left or changed
Had a lovely takeaway meal from Capital. The beef satay is lovely with loads of veg. Only downside is that they don't take card but it isn't too much hassle to get cash out. Great to find a good local Chinese takeaway.
Lol i ordered 2 fried rice, 2 curry sauce, 1 prawn crackers and 2 bags of chips. £20!! Like wth. Totally over priced and cheeky. Wont be back
Chicken Curry chicken Beautiful Rice too onions cut small Beautiful too But the Carry Sauce Has far too much spice really extremely hot Like jalapenos Would Burn the mouth off yae We had to drink a gallon of Water too Put the fire out
Szechaun chicken decent. Special fried rice not up to much and the salt and pepper chicken wings were scrawny with a severe lack of coating. Not impressed.
Props to the guy taking orders, reads me back my order and tells me exact price everytime. Makes it that much better that it’s always exactly what I want+food is gr8
