Top quality fish and chips from here, both cooked freshly to order. Perfectly cooked crisp chips and nice fish with good crisp batter, neither were greasy. Highly recommended.
The regular cod was a reasonable size and there were plenty of chips. Cod, chips and mushy peas cost £10.20 (cash only) and were well packed in a cardboard box so stayed warm and didn’t go soggy on the drive home.
This place needs to get in the bin.
Disgusting undercooked soggy chips, SWEET curry sauce ?! (Not fish and chip shop style, gross), £4.30 for the chips. And all wrapped up tightly in a plastic bag so its a sweaty undercooked mess by the time it gets home. Disgraceful.
Ordered for 4 people. All freshly cooked to order. Fresh oil even on a Friday night - not greasy and crispy batter. Best fish and chips around!!

When I got back I remembered why I don't go there only 2 minutes up the road
Fish portion small batter not at all crispy and as for the chips pale in colour and not cooked all the way through
Need to spend mote time in the Fryer
Stopped eating on first taste managed to rescue by doing a second home fry in the air Fryer
Which was defeating the object of no cooking and cleaning of Fryer
We’ve ordered twice from here in last 2 months and both times excellent. The chips are perfect, partner thinks the savaloy is spot on and I’ve been searching for a fish n chip shop that has a decent curry sauce… well both times I was blown away because I’ve found it! Not watery and flavourless like many can be, this is thick and absolutely packed with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I was waiting to order a second time before leaving a review to ensure consistency and they exceeded both times. Very quick delivery too. Oh and the cod bites were so good too and a very generous portion size! Our new favourite and local chippy.
I decided to look elsewhere for a chippie after our last visit here. It's been about 5 years since the last visit when we were very happy, but change of management since then... First of all you have to have cash - no cards - which is a bit strange esp. after Covid times... Husband ordered cod & chips. He wasn't that impressed with the fish and then was ill the next day. I had chips and was fine. He was gutted because he was had a sports event the next day and it ruined it. I can't understand it because a lot of reviews say how good this place is - even recent ones... maybe we just had bad luck?
