The BEST goat curry we have ever tasted! So much so we order from cafe conscious most weeks. Always hot, nice spicy kick, plenty of meat and flavours and the owners are extremely pleasant. A true family run business! A massive five years on a five year anniversary..!

This was the worst takeaway ever, how are they still in business. Flat fried dumplings, dry fish and no flavour on rice £17, would've been better to eat dry bread. Fix up café conscious. Never buying from there again.

Got the goat curry and the jerk chicken for takeaway, was quick, affordable and some of the nicest food I've had in a long time. Chill vibes and friendly staff too. Couldn't be happier!

I had the curried goat which was really nice. The only way it could be better is with a bit more sauce.

The owner is friendly, the place itself is bright and spacious. They even do vegan food. I will return.

Tasty, home cooked food. Portion sizes are just too small for me to want to come back. Goat curry and jerk chicken weren’t very generous. Goat curry had more bones than meat, With lots of rice to bulk it out is not what it’s about. Had to sit inside with our coats on because it was freezing inside as the door was left open whilst they were attending the bbq. I wanted to buy extra jerk chicken because I was still hungry but was told I’d just have to pay full price again for the meal, even if I didn’t want the extras it came with. You should make an offer for people just to buy x amount of pieces of chicken with no sides.

This is a great find, tucked away in Barton Hill. There's a restaurant with a take-away and delivery service available. The jerk chicken and chicken curry are to die for! The owner is a very cheerful, welcoming guy who barbecues his chicken outside the shop in the summer. Apart from the regular Caribbean dishes on offer, there's a good selection of drinks (non - alcoholic) and exotic juices on the menu. A very relaxed atmosphere prevails, it's casual but efficient. Good prices too. Well worth grabbing a takeaway from here or even better, ordering food to be delivered!

Order delivery time was 7.15 pm. Text arrived at 7p.m. saying food was on its way. Food arrived at 7.25, barely lukewarm with the curried goat floating in grease that came 2/3 of the way up the sides of the plastic boxes it was in. The 'coleslaw' portion was tiny and while it was a creamy white in colour, the texture was more like humus. Wouldn't bother again.

Ordered food roughly 8pm. Got an estimated to be delivered at 8:55pm, suddenly this changed to 9:25pm but with this change it also changed some items on the order to somethings that were not ordered. Due to being a nut allergy sufferer this is not ideal at all. So at 9:50pm the delivery arrived even though there shop closes at 9pm, with this the food had obviously been sitting out and not fresh due to rice being stuck together dry, beans being dried out. As mentioned before as a nut allergy sufferer due to not knowing the ingredients to their chicken curry (with a large bone in) I was unable to eat any of the meal.

Would not recommend at all.
