Came for a too good to go bag. Was on the phone with the restaurant at 2pm asking if they'll be open at 7:30 for collection as clearly they have a history of not showing up. I wasn't surprised when the door was locked and lights were off. Just wish she didn't lie to me on the phone. Don't waste your time.
Disgusting Scam. Too Good To Go SCAM. This company made me drive 20 mins to them on Friday, when I arrived the shop was closed, phone was not answered immediately. They rang back and said they were not operating on Friday and that the app was meant to be changed. The lady who said her name was Kesha told me to come back on Tuesday and that she would reimburse the inconvenience, she was very convincing in her tone and mannerisms. I texted the number she gave me on Monday to double check and there was no reply. I proceeded to call her multiple times to double check before driving 20 mins to the shop again and she eventually answered and apologised for not replying to the text as the “restaurant was very busy”, she ensured me again and told me to arrive at the allocated To Good To Go time slot, I drove 20 mins to the shop and to my surprise it was closed again and the phone number I called before kept going to voicemail. I waited outside the shop for 20 mins and no answer. The shop next door told me that Big Blessings had not been operating properly for a while and that workers only would spend about an hour in the shop each time on random days. This is really dishonest of this company and whoever runs it.
This was a horrific experience overall. I ordered something from TooGoodToGo and was on my way to collect it, through the rain and wind, walking to get my food and meet my boyfriend, who was at the restaurant meeting me. He calls me to tell me that they’ve decided they’re not fulfilling the order. I check my app, no notification from them to say they cancelled it, no contact at all, no refund pending, still displays that I should collect my order. So I now turn around and make my way home, soled from the rain. I call the manager to ask what’s going on, why have they decided to not fulfil the order, not notified me, and not processed a refund. She says something along the times of ‘okay we’ll do it’ and hangs up on the phone on me. My boyfriend, who at this point is also now walking home through the rain because they turned him down at the restaurant, is on his way back home too, so I turn around and start making my way back to the restaurant, still pouring and freezing at this point. Get to the restaurant, the poor man behind the service counter just keep repeating ‘she just told me’ in response to why they decided to cancel it in the first place and not notify me. So I’m sitting there, freezing, wet, without any explanation, waiting for my food which should have been ready to collect a long time before they actually packaged everything. Finally get the food. I’m thinking I hope at least they had some humanity and compensated for everything by putting in a little more or something decent at least. I’m not joking when I say they filled my box with stale tasting rice, a single potato, and one small piece of meat… I would say you get what you pay for but, according them them, they just wanted me to pay and not give me the food I ordered. Wasn’t even worth the £4 I payed! So unhappy with the portions, the food, the service most of all from the management team. No explanation offered. Not even notified that they decided to not fulfil my order! It feels like they just wanted to take the money!
After a slight mishap on Sunday the staff at big blessings went above and beyond to rectify things hooked me up today in such a way!! Big blessings bye name big blessings by nature ???? food was amazing thank you so much......

Paid and ordered a large portion .got 5 peaces of goat was a completely different colour and taste from the week before not to mention the size of the portion.

Tried to call shop was a mobile which went straight to voicemail
Meat was soft and tasted good
so I made an order and not long after I get a phone call from kenny Im sure that’s her name unless I heard wrong and she explain someone bought the last curry goat I nearly cried ????! BUT she kindly put on a fresh batch for me she explain this could take over an hour.. I did not mind because I was LONGING for curry goat! The kindness did not end their.. some time passed and she called me up to tell me it’s on the way and told me I was now getting an EXTRA LARGE portion of curry goat, Plantain and a large bottle of coke for my wait.. the food arrived and when I say I demolished that curry goat & rice ???????? she called me just as I leaned back with a big full stomach and food all round my mouth ???? to ask me if I got my food and if it was okay .. do you ever speak to someone on the phone and you can hear them smiling from the way they speak? Well I was HAPPPYYY ???????? the food was delicious! my husband had jerk chicken wrap ???? food was nice will deffo be ordering again and if by chance someone buys the last portion of curry goat I will wait all day for it if I have to ???? kenny was lovely and bubbly to speak to she also told me call her phone if I ever wana make an order again ???????? anyway I’ll stop talking now iv got more curry goat to finish ???? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The guys at Big Blessings cooked for our opening day yesterday and the food was absolutely amazing and went down a treat. I’ll be getting my lunches from here all the time when I am working across the road. Food is fantastic and lovely people aswell!
