Had a nice meal here. Smartly presented in an old building. Excellent service. Had to try the soufflé which was fab and the rest of the food was very tasty.

We had the pleasure of dining at Banks last night.
I don't normally write reviews however I had to share what an incredible meal we had.
The atmosphere was lovely and the staff could not do enough to make sure your evening was special.
The food simply was OUTSTANDING!
From the moment each dish came out you could see the quality was first class.
The starter, risotto packed with flavour and the fish just melted in your mouth.
The Lamb was cooked to perfection and complimented by a lovely wine.
Great value for money when you can clearly see only the best ingredients are used.

A surprising find. Good service and the food good. Our daughters birthday who is gluten intolerant but plenty of choice. Unusually for me they didn't have any pudding I fancied. My seat was not too comfortable as could feel the wooden frame through the covering. Should have asked to change it. Will be happy to go again.
Hi everyone, compliments to the Chef, every dish was of a high standard, and delicious even the vegetables. Very Good menu, catering to most tastes, and varied. The waitress service was excellent, with very Good customer service, asking for our feed back on every course. The price of meal was relative to the service, and food, and about right. Very enjoyable evening, we will be back????

Love this place. Late birthday celebration with great friends. We all had the double baked cheese souffle for starters and I followed up with the venison washed down with the house white, Turning Heads, NZ. Always choose this here but disappointed not to find it anywhere other than here. Believe me I've tried! Wonderful staff that we have got to know well. Sorry I can't spell your name, M but thank you for looking after us all so well. And big thanks to the chef. How do you make so many delicious and diverse dishes relatively speedily? And not to forget the piano playing - taped - in the background which adds to the relaxed ambience. Thank you Banks. We'll be back.
