Wouldn’t give a it even a 0 star. Absolutely rude dental woman with glasses and a rude receptionist that doesn’t give a toss about showing you directions inside considering it’s my first time there. Awful service given by a lady with glasses that works in the dental surgery almost chocked my child, as a professional dentist you should know how to do an x ray on a child and this lady gave the rudest attitude to me as soon as I walked in and saying my daughter has gross teeth and disgusting. What an awful and rude attitude to give to a child and a mother on the first day for a checkup. We did not feel comfortable at all and she was not professional at all very rude behaviour almost wanted to argue with me she did not even know why the dentist referred me there couldn’t bother herself to check properly instead disagreeing with everything I was saying. If you can’t do your job properly don’t bother working there as she couldn’t even give a friendly advice to us. It doesn’t cost to be nice horrible rude woman. Never again.

I have been with this practice since the mid 90s to the point the doctor knows me very well. However I called three time yesterday to get medicine and a sick note as I have a very bad flu. Which is causing me more stress as I’m loosing money as I can’t work and this is now day 3 I’m getting worse. I spoke to someone on reception on Monday 3 times who was taking calls for doctor akbah. She said it will take 24 hours for me to have medicine prescription as well as a sick note. I called again today spoke to another lady who said no thing been done and the dr will ring me between 4:30pm to 7pm which I doubtful about. I would like to complain about the staff and lack of communication just like the time I was ment to have surgery these lot didn’t even get my scans. I am thinking to find a new doctor as I don’t think they know. If i could it be no stars

Called regarding the vaccination clinic they are running to be told that they cannot answer any questions about it and promptly hung up. Whoever is answering the phones at this centre should either be sacked or be firmly reminded that people who call a health centre are usually seeking advice because they are sick. Absolutely disgusting attitude and should not be tolerated.

I think this is one of the worst places to attempt to get an appointment. For a receptionist who is considered in the medical field of work, she is ruined and very unhelpful over the phone

Terrible surgery. Incapable doctors and rude, unfeeling receptionists.

I came here for a repeat prescription of my pill, the doctor refused to give me my normal brand and prescribed me a cheaper brand. I went to three pharmacists and none of them had the pill in stock and it wasn't even available to order. The kind pharmacist phoned the surgery and asked them to make approve a prescription of my usual brand, they refused and the pharmacist told me it was possible and they were just being unhelpful. I had to go back to the surgery in the evening to return my first prescription and was promised a revised prescription. I was given another cheap drug alternative which wasn't available in any pharmacy. The receptionist told me to drive around all the pharmacists looking for the drug (I don't drive), I asked for a revised prescription and the receptionist lied and told me the doctor had gone home even though his patients were still being called on the screen. I came back the next morning and booked an appointment with the same doctor who then told me the pharmacist should have allowed me to trade drugs even though he refused a few hours earlier. I had to take a total of 1.5 days off work and even more time in admin for such a simple task. Absolute jokers, a disgrace to the NHS.

Have talked to friends in the area and they've had similar experiences: three appointments for one issue, lost test results, being sent away from appointments because they don't have time/don't want to see patients.

Changed to Balham Park Surgery, they are amazing. Don't waste your time with Balham Health Centre, will be logging formal complaint with NHS too.
