For this place to be so new and us arriving so close to their closing time, service and food was amazing! Food well proportion for the price and well seasoned.

Service very slow. We were there noon and only one other couple. We had to wait for everything. The drink,the order and the bill,then waiting for change. Automatically charged $2.00 for using credit card without even asking how we'd be paying, which is cash. He didn't come back to table after serving and I needed some more water. I had to ask the hotess for it. I dont recommend it,food is just ok and service lousy.
I came here with my family, it was our first time, we were just visiting the dells, we had an awesome server. He had awesome service, however we waited a really long time for our food. Two other tables were seated and got their food while we were still waiting. The food was good, and the server was awesome! But that wait for the food just was not worth it.
My husband and i had a great experience here for his birthday. We were welcomed and seated as soon as we came in the restaurant. The staff was amazing and treated us like family. And made sure that my husband celebrated his birthday with all the trimmings. The food was amazing. Portions was huge and very flavorful. Even the owner came over to have a birthday shot and took pictures with my husband. This will be a must stop everytime we are in the dells. Thanks so much for everything to the staff at El Asador.
Despite Google saying they open at 11am they actually open at noon. Being Mexican myself I can say that the food and atmosphere was really great! Our server was more on the reserved side but she was very nice, polite, and efficient. We communicated in English but she tried out Spanish when checking up on us so I appreciated that.
Got seated and server came by to take drinks which were 2 water and a coke and came back few minutes later said the bartender is making your drinks, and will bring them out in a few minutes which were 5 mins, what's so hard about pouring ice and water into a glass anyways, then took good order and parts of our food were ok but the rice and beans were so bland, no flavor no salt and never offered refills on my soda.. the slogan on the walls says the flavor that reminds you of Mexico, maybe New Mexico, US but definitely not Mexico flavor
El Asador was a great experience for me and my wife. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was near closing so not too busy, we were seated immediately. The food was served soon after ordering. The complimentary chips and salsa were great while we waited.
The food was very well prepared, looked appetizing, and was quite delicious. A very good balance of fresh ingredients and wonderful spice. The flavor was right on for my tastes. Having never eaten in Mexico, I can't say if it was truly authentic though I will say it was among the best Mexican food I've had in Wisconsin. We will definitely be back next time we're in Wisconsin Dells.
We came upon this while walking and decided to give it a shot. I was shocked to read the reviews on here! We thought it was delicious. We love hispanic food and this was phenomenal! We will absolutely be back! Service was fantastic. Cheapest dinner we had all week! No leftovers, perfect entree size!...
UPDATE: 1 year later and my review stands! This place was AMAZING . It was very busy. We were told we could sit but would need to wait about 10 minutes for a server. Fine by me. We could look at the menu and decide what we wanted and sit in a comfy booth. Service was fantastic, food was phenomenal. Prices were great, selection was huge. No complaints whatsoever from us! We will be back again, no doubt about it!!
