Had a Bacon cheeseburger Friday during a company anniversary celebration. Burger was HIGHLY over salted. Didn't finish it and didn't want to make fuss in front of our guest. Could tell the burger would have been pretty good without all that salt. Went back Sunday night and gave it another try. I ordered two of the cheeseburgers for my wife and I. I specifically asked my waiter to tell them to hold the salt. Drove 20 minutes home and they were so dang salty neither my wife or I could eat them. Threw them away and called the manager. She was very nice but at 9:50 PM I was not willing drive all the way back up there. So disappointed and out nearly 40 bucks for 2 burgers and one appetizer.( Appetizer was good)
Stopped by while visiting Galax from Greensboro, N around lunch time. The food is okay. I got the blacked salmon and fries. The restaurant itself looks outdated, but clean. The server was amazing. I didn't catch her name, but she is a thin, blonde lady, about 21-22 years old. She was really friendly, checked on us constantly, and memorized our orders without writing them down. Was really impressed with that. Wish I could have left a bigger tip. She didn't even seem upset that we sat there for like an hour after we were done
I wouldn't eat here again. They were out of two of the drinks I ordered and the way I was told was kind of rude and dismissive. The food I ordered was absolutely terrible. I asked for an upgraded side and was charged the full amount of the side, even though I was told it would be a small upcharge. This place has not gotten better with new management. You're better off going to the taco truck down the road.
We had a great lunch at Applebee's on Sunday. The food and service were excellent, and the prices were modest. We had a 6-Ounce Sirloin ($14.99), French Onion Soup ($5.49), Garden Salad ($4.99), Iced Tea ($3.39) and Coffee ($2.49). Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. A great place to stop in Galax.
The service was great. The food was wonderful. The wait time was short and our server, Hannah did a fantastic job. New management is obvious! Best service we’ve had here in a while. If it’s been a minute since you came… give them a try again.
the service was excellent by the waitresses but the food was so bad, we were really hungry but we did not finish with the food, pictures will talk. The soups were microwave and dishes dirty, we asked for a medium well steak and it was medium rare, we think the tomato soup was not good anymore because my kid ended throwing it away . Even the Salad was different as it used to be long time ago. Hopefully they improve in the kitchen we ended so sad and disappointed.
Worst possible experience. We had to search the empty restaurant to find someone to seat us. No server came to take our drink orders. We sat looking at menus and listening to what sounded like a heated argument from the kitchen. After ten minutes without seeing a soul, we got up and walked out. The service was terrible on our last visit, but we decided to give it another try. It was a complete waste of time. If this is the level of service they offer now, they should close for good.
Garbage! Only a very select few people who work there are doing there job. No disrespect to them but overall the place is garbage!
I will update this review because after speaking to the new manager. We decided to wait a couple of weeks and go back again. He has done a fantastic job of turning the atmosphere around. We saw a bunch of new staph and the waiter we had was very good. Professional appearance and work ethic. And the food was great. For the first time in a long time it seemed like applebeas again. Great job guys and gals.
