Wonderful venue for gatherings of any size. The big covered area is really nice if rain sets in.
Nice place- plenty of parking & places to park an RV & or pitch a tent & miles away from the city life- however the owner was a little abrupt with tapping me on the back while I was rinsing off some trail dust on some kitchen utensils with a portable power washer and he grumpily said:" YOU CANT DO THAT HERE" & offered no solution & I said yes sir" as he scampered off & then proceeded to call the event coordinator to complain further more as if to raise even more concern -then I was asked to just dump the grey water in the ditch 40' away. There are better ways to ask people to do things without making any physical contact albeit the owner was quite aged & from another generation when contact like that was accepted. Ooh and btw the last row or stake by the covered area west the breaker kept going out 3 days in a row and by that time I was using my own generator and kept getting blamed for tripping the breaker - after the coordinator from our event found out where the issue was originating from , no apologies given, of course. But this was just my take and a neutral place to vent.
15+ years of shows, arguably still the best small music event campgrounds in central texas. Spacious, has reasonable privacy, and incredible trees!
Beautiful place out in the country. Great for family reunions, dances (there’s a big covered area with stage to accommodate a band) and dancing… the place is on about 100 acres so the possibilities are endless…probably even great for a wedding. Again, beautiful and remote if you are looking for those things!
Went and had dinner at the Apache Steak house and the lamb lollipops where absolutely ???? best! Sorry no pics... we ate them soooo fast
This place is great. Very spacious. I went for the Lights Festival and it was perfect. The area was very open and easily, a couple thousand people could fit. It was awesome because it rained (not a lot of space for cover) and we saw a rainbow! ????
I will say, the parking situation was particularly bad but maybe that was the directors of traffic..but I was stuck waiting to get waived through for literally 20 minutes because we weren’t on one of the ‘main roads’
I had a birthday picnic here one year and it was beautiful! The cool walk bridge over the river is awesome. The facilities are neat and clean and the restrooms are the nicest I have seen in a public park in a very long time! The old bridge metal bridge over the San Gabriel river was a little noisy and you can see right through the plating to the river below (kinda got the adrenaline flowing a bit!) but it adds to the charm of the park. This is a great place to have a picnic with lots of green open spaces. Highly recommended!
One of the greatest weekends of my life. Nice lil river to wade in.
