We have used this garage for many years and introduced our son to use and not had any problems until now. Son took his car in for an MOT, it failed. Yes it failed on bits and pieces which understandable however one was down to not being able to get to the rear seatbelts due to golf clubs now bear in mind son did apologise and said he forgot to take golf clubs out when dropping car off but response was don’t worry we can work round them. ????♀️ He left presuming they would take them out of the boot or ‘they could work around them’. Took the car back (without golf clubs) to get the said bits and pieces done which included steering rod (seems from other reviews this is a common item on car to change) car passed. However upon inspection the steering wheel was off track and he didn’t know they don’t do it until he phoned them after getting home. Could they have not said this at the time of collection? ????♀️ What was annoying to him was cigarette ash on the front passenger seat, he doesn’t smoke, so thinking as it was raining that day was his car used as a staff room? As you can’t smoke in their office. And the back seats had oily/muddy boot prints on them, he has not long put new seat covers in his car and as an apprentice couldn’t really afford them but he saved up anyway for them, he always has his back seats down due to not taking out his golf clubs so he knows they where not from him. Annoyed they haven’t cleaned up after themselves or respected someone’s vehicle. It seems from other posts I’ve read it is youngsters cars.
I have fully supported Andy’s Autos especially during lockdown as like myself they worked through. Helped encourage owners to take their cars for their MOTs when the government extended MOT dates and people were still driving around in cars they knew may not be road worthy. Myself and husband have used the garage for many years and had no problems however I have felt they lately they have fallen below par. Whether it’s they are taking too many cars on or they have lost their mojo in their work or they just particular in what cars to concentrate on and other cars are given a quick once over.
I live next to this garage. The car stopped starting. I came to the garage and asked for help, they said they could look at it on Saturday. I came on Saturday, they wrote down the phone number, they promised to call during the day, I waited all day, no one called, I just wasted time. They don't keep their promises. Be carefull!
Great service, great mechanics and not ripped off. Genuine work undertaken, non-genuine advised about for up and coming issues that may need attention in the future.
Honestly a top bloke who is always trying to help and always charges a fair price. I'm going to go here for years.

Quick, honest and great service. Had a boot problem which they managed to temporarily fix and refer me an autoelectrician for, all completely free. First time at an auto repair so very grateful.
Andy’s auto repairs text me to remind me my mot was due. They sorted my Mot and swapped break pads all round. Excellent job and a very reasonable cost. Booked in for a service in a few weeks.
Having been a customer for sometime, years, i can say that the garage has looked after my vehicles well and that is from someone who is quite particular. Always a good service at a good price. No hidden extras and good advice. Front yard can get quite full but they can quickly move the cars around. Well recommended.
