Ive been craving for salmon carpaccio, and this place satisfy my craving, the salmon carpaccio was sooo good, the portion was bigger than any other sushi places, i eat with the sushi rice, and its just hit the spot!!!!
I also got eel sashimi, it was good as well...
The service also really good, even there is only one server but he pretty fast and attentive.
Been coming here with the original owner for many years. There was a period of time that the shift made the quality and the service drop. So, today we decided to see if it got better and we were glad it did since it used to be our favorite place.
The prices look high but it's because the portions are big. We usually order 2-3 dishes to share for a family of 4 and we leave full.
The space is very small, so expect long wait and to be seated in close proximity with other people.
Tonight there were 3 staff serving all the guest which was not sufficient. Our drinks were not refilled as it used to be but it's understandable since after covid, many restaurants are struggling in hiring people.
If you were like us on the fence since the original owner passed away, you should definitely give it a try. They kept the same, original flavor, portions and flare.
First time came here was 20+ years ago. Everything was fresh and huge portion. Was told owner sold the Resturant 10+ years ago. Quality stay the same, portion was huge as before. Their signature dish is Chirashi bowl, can definitely fit two man. Definitely worth to try. But remember don’t over order. Enjoy ????
Simply put, this place is small and feel old. Just don't let it bother you. The servers there are great. The prices are on the high side but they are justified by the taste and the portions they serve. I have no problem coming back for more. I like this place.
Very fresh sushi. Friendly and hospitable service. Very very reasonable prices. We ordered the chawanushi, deep fried soft shell crab, Clark avenue roll, mussels, yellowtail collar, and the chirashi bowl. Fun fact: they have an organic kumquat tree in the parking lot then you can grab a bunch of kumquats from, for free.
The Chirashi bowl is amazing! The best ever. Deep fried soft shell crab also wonderful, Hugh portion and very fresh crab, very crispy. And their oyster in a delicious sauce, will come back!
Very good food, large portions, good atmosphere, suitable for group dinners, a place worth visiting
The best sushi place in town, it is always the "hole in the wall" places that are awesome. This place is very small and very intimate, so get comfortable for tight spaces.
Outdoor dining is available when weather permits.
