It is described with 10/10, the authentic taste of Dominican food, it took me to the delicious food of my grandmother and my mother. Super fast service, attentive and helpful staff.
Today was the first time at this branch and the truth is that I thought the taste of the food was better than the other one. Although both have their charm. It certainly won't be the last.
We always go there, the food is good, real Dominican flavor, the food presentation is great and the service is good too, the deco remembers a dominican county house and that's a nice atmosphere, my only complaint is they don't serve coffee !!!
I'm coming again, this restaurant was so alive, so festive and fresh. Everything was just perfect. The food was delicious. The atmosphere felt like I was home in Puerto Rico, and I shared neighboring tables with a Dominican family, including another neighboring table with Cubanos visiting the country for the holidays. Everything about this restaurant feels like home. I can't express this anymore.... Thank you ????
The food was delicious and fulfilling but the service was disappointing especially since it was kinda empty. I do recommend eating here if you want some Dominican cuisine
All food was cold, and over cooked, only thing that was good was rice and beans, and drinks. One of the waiters spilled a drink on me and just said sorry and walked away. Wait time is forever servers are so slow and incompetent. Looks like someone’s renovated garage. Most of the items that we attempted to order was not available. Gratuity is added on every check with parties of 3 or more probably because service sucks so bad that’s the only way they can receive a tip. Never recommending to anyone and never coming back. Highly unprofessional, should be ashamed to be called a restaurant.
Cute atmosphere and decor but the food and service were lacking. I'm Dominican myself and the food here was lacking in 'something' that just did not make it authentic. I must say I was a bit disappointed as I expected more...something that made it unique, but it was more ordinary. Even with not many customers, the service was inadequate since we barely saw our waitress and had to seek out 'any' waiter. The drink I had, Vierjebo, was good though. Might be a place to try...but once!
We went on one of the coldest days and there seemed to be a bad draft in the place. We kept our jackets on. We had to flag down a person several times for service after we ordered. It did get packed when we were leaving. The kids did loved the food and experience. They charged me almost 2 dollars when I asked for extra ajo sauce. They do automatically charge you a 20% tip on your check. There is valet parking or you can look for parking on the side streets for metered parking. We hope to go back when it’s warmer.
The decor, music & food will have you feeling like you’re dining in the Dominican Republic! The food is outstanding, fast, delicious & fresh. The service is fast, the place is small, there’s usually a wait. This area of the Bronx is tough on parking, some days they offer valet parking.
