One of my favorite parts of San Diego. I’ve brought many friends over the years and the owners always treat us like family. The food is absolutely delicious and nutritious as well. Come here for an authentic Ethiopian meal. Next door is their grocery store where you can buy injera and other staples. Pictured is their vegetarian platter with shiro on the side.
My wife and I went to the coffee ceremony on Saturday morning-it was absolutely wonderful. Perfect mix of learning the Ethiopian coffee culture, meeting new friends and delicious java. In addition to 3 rounds of super smooth coffee from freshly roasted beans (like roasted right in front of you fresh!) they provide homemade bread and popcorn. Our hosts were so engaging and friendly that the 90 or so minutes we were there flew by. They’ve created a wonderfully inviting space for the weekly event. On-line sign-up was a breeze.
Can’t wait to take a group of friends there for lunch soon.

Food is great, service is great, and we had a difficult table in a group of 8 demanding people.
Visit this place, and if you are unsure, just ask them to help you choose. They love to share their culture and food, and you will not be disappointed!
Very friendly and warm service that are enthusiastic about their food and open to explaining if your curious how it is made. The food is amazing and fresh and definely enjoyed the smell of the kitchen as the food cook and the presentation of the food at the table. Loved the food, the atmosphere and the service, definely worth a check out.
This is hands down in the top three of my favorite restaurants in the city. I have had Ethiopian and eastern African cuisine before. However, I was delightfully surprised at the food here and love everything about it. I want to try everything on this menu. The staff is great and answers all my questions. I can't wait to go back.
Spontaneously did the Sat morning coffee roasting ceremony & it was SUCH a lovely experience! An intimate group of strangers chatting over freshly roasted coffee. 10/10 would recommend this experience & I’ll definitely be back.
The food here is delicious and priced well. I love the meat platter and vegetarian platter. My wife and I order this and share.
Really enjoyed our meal. We got the meat combo, the veggie combo, and a chicken stew. A few Ethiopian beers to round out the meal and it was fantastic. The stew and lentils were a favourite of mine so well spiced and flavorful. Will be sure to go back.
