This is still the BEST shop on Harrow Road. It has everything you need, meat, general groceries, delicious hot fresh bread, kitchenware... You name it they have it. Plus the staff are lovely, helpful, kind and always have a smile despite being always so busy. I love this shop!!
Amazing selection, good prices. Staff is incredibly efficient and despite the avalanche of customers there is never a queue.
Update 31/10/23: Just visited and so impressed they have listened to customer feedback and now have a new computer system that produced itemised receipts! So no longer are they relying on the memory of the till operator. Well done Zagros. I had started to shop elsewhere, but now I will continue to shop here.

Love this store but they are not honest with prices. They advertise the price but charge a higher per kilo price at the till. Conveniently for them, nothing is itemised on the receipt - everything just says “Fruit & Veg Item” - with no per kg cost listed. So you have to remember what the sign said and watch them as they enter each item. They constantly add another extra £1 per kg because they know you cant be bothered questioning it. But it all adds up!!
As I live quite locally, I usually buy vegetables and other groceries here. However last time I accidentally broke a jar and called the staff straight away to clean, apologizing for it. When I went to pay for my shopping, only 3 things, I noticed the price was higher than expected. When I questioned the cashier about it, she just stared at me saying nothing so the manager had to intervene saying I got charged £3.50 more for the broken jar as it fell from my hand. Very cheeky, if they wanted to charge me for the broken jar they should have made it clear straight away. Not going back!
Great food that caters for a diverse local population.
It's also open very late at night so handy for people working late shifts to pick up various grocery items including fresh meat.
I went to buy food and some vegetales and looked quite fresh. The inside is quite big but look quite old and the aisles are too narrow. Its claustrophobic.
Variable quality, from ok, to poor. Convenient for quick fruit and veg: the odd pack of apples, some lemons, this or that; however, cleanliness and hygiene leave much room for improvement. Not impressed with one server openly spitting on the pavement outside, by the fruit and veg stall. Not the done thing, and likely to discourage future custom.
Easy entry and exit. You will find all middle eastern products you need there. In store there is a halal butcher. Fresh fruit and vegetables outside the store. Friendly staff and easy exit. I am shopping there now for more than 5 years. Everything has good quality and is cheap. Highly recommended
