El menú por 12€ está muy bien. Si se llama por teléfono lo preparan para cuando se desea. Ah! Y la pizza es la mejor de Donosti y a muy buen precio.

We should have left the instant we walked in! We were left standing at the front reception not knowing if they were taking walk ins for an early dinner, given that there were already a couple dinning in the restaurant. The staff walked walked backwards and forwards from the dining room to the kitchen and not once acknowledged us standing there waiting patiently to be attended to. The staff chatted away in the kitchen as if we they were hoping we would go away! When we were finally attended to, the first thing he told us was that we could not have a table if we were only having tapas & by this stage we had already read the sign stating that each diner must order a main course and no sharing! We agreed to their terms as we wanted a proper meal, but it just got worse and worse...We were asked for our names and the staff began to fill in the information into the system. At this stage we thought he was taking our booking for later (it was 6pm) and we clarified that we wanted to dine now. He then indicated with his fingers for us to fill the information into the system ourselves...full name and telephone number! Finally we were seated and left there sitting whilst the waiter continued setting a few more empty tables!
When we were finally attended to, we tried ordered drinks and entrees first as were we’re hungry but he abruptly pocketed his device when we tried to ask about some of the dishes we were unsure of. He said he would come and take our full when we were ready!
Again we contemplated leaving!
We ordered way too much food (the portions were large- a good waiter would have said so and left us to decide!) After the 3rd entree arrived we asked if we could cancel one of the mains..(we had already ordered an extra main salad to share) & was told no...given one of the mains was a fish ...not something that can be cooked too far ahead of time and the service was slow! The entrees came one at a time and the next was not brought out until we had finished the first!
The meals were average, I cannot imagine how terrible the service would be when it is really full house!
This was the first establishment in our 3 weeks of travel we refused to tip!
Had we read some of the reviews instead of going by the stars, we would have never come! Judging by all the comments, the tapas are good but avoid table service at all cost!
Hyggelig betjening, svært populært sted, så det kan ofte være fullt. Her kan man få en tilnærmet perfekt tilberedt grillet okskotelett av storvokste gamle dyr, skikkelig mørnet i følge gammel baskisk tradisjon. Et sted jeg alltid besøker når jeg er i Donestia. De har forøvrig et rikt utvalg av flotte pinxtos i baren
