Stumbled upon another find Jim this one in Arkansas. The home cooked food was so good I had some roast beef green beans potatoes carrots corn bread. But the peanut butter pie was amazing. Just a great little joint. Great prices too.
Very tasty. The daily "blue plate" type special is a good value-- entrée, two sides, and cornbread or Texas toast for under 10 bucks. Staff is super friendly and the location is homey and very clean.
We are from Joplin, MO, and came to visit family and take time off for my wife's birthday. The family had to work but recommended Whistle Stop. We drove over for breakfast and are so glad we did. One of their customer's was on his way out & I asked how he liked the Café. He said he was 90 years old and came here every morning. He had many good things to say about the restaurant food, service, and cleanliness. His recommendation was right on target. The restaurant was super clean from front to back. The waitress was so kind and attentive to our needs. She brought the pancakes out on a special plate for my wife's birthday and even sang to her. The food was made from scratch and over-the-top delicious. The owner came out and visited with us before we left. We are not in the area very often, but we will return to this hidden gem when we can.

I am not sure how we even ended up here, it's a little off the beaten path - but I am glad we did. I love to eat at locally owned places, and this is why. We showed up about 10 minutes before they were to close, and were the only customers. They greeted us cheerfully, not disappointed that we were causing them to stay late. They have homemade lunch specials and desserts as well as grill food.. the restaurant was clean and bright.. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner/cook . The whole experience was enjoyable and not overpriced. When I go through Jonesboro again, I plan to stop there. I'll be earlier next time.
Not impressed . It’s pretty slow and it wasn’t even that busy.
Coffee needs to be hotter. Bacon taste old seams to be big deal to try to get crispy bacon.

Lisa was extraordinary to work with. Her & her team fed the Northeast Arkansas Board of Realtors & hit it out of the park. Their chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, & rolls were perfect!
Where do I start? I had passed this place several times and never stopped. Then one of my managers rewarded us with fried bologna sandwiches from here and that was history! I absolutely love their fried bologna, egg and cheese sandwich on buttery Texas toast! And the staff is so nice, warm and friendly. The inside is just as cute and warm as their personalities! I can't say enough about this place so just go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed I promise. A hidden gem that is worth the little drive. Keep up the good work and please never take the bologna sandwiches off the menu lol!!!
