Was looking for a restaurant nearby the area on google map and have found this restaurant. Followed the google map driving direction and arrived at the place, was wonder if we have arrived the right place as the entrance looks more like an abandoned garage.
When you step into the restaurant then you realized that it is a different world.
Nice little restaurant which was ran but a couple, which dishes were skillfully made. Cosy and peaceful environment with some breathe taking views.
Head down the Whaligoe Steps for some nice scenery. Be aware that there are quite some stairs to take. Going down is easy and coming back up would take a little effort.
The staff were pleasant and helpful. The coffee had a nice flavour but wasn't harsh. The fruit scone was light, without the odd mouth feel of too much raising agent. The brownie was rich and tasty. The view is lovely. The only negatives were very limited parking and the road sign is difficult to spot.
Good cafe with decent food and bathrooms at the top, which is key because it is incredibly remote. View of the North Sea and cliffs is nice but fairly unremarkable all things considered. Didn't hike all the way to the bottom because the views would have been worse.
Beautiful views from the top, and bottom. Climbing up is a lot easier than climbing down. Cafe is only open Thursday-Sunday, which was a little disappointing. There are no toilets and no discrete bits where you could pee outside.
Absolutely fabulous Cafe. Food, staff and scenery top notch and well worth visiting. Get the garlic bread :) you won’t regret it.
Lovely little cafe near the 300 steps down to the old boat dock. Both the cafe and area is worth a visit. Plenty of food options available and friendly staff.
Interesting place to visit, climb down the stairs to the cove, u need to be fit to get back up!
Worth a visit but parking can be an issue if it's busy.
An extroardinary place, walk the steps down and try to imagine what life has looked like over 100 years ago or even longer. Head back upstairs and have a snack or a drink at the café with fabulous views over sea.
