Clean. Felt safe. Easy to get tickets. Free parking.
I enjoyed my round trip light rail trip from Westlake to Northgate Stations. Westlake Station is adjacent to a mall with shopping and eateries. The station is on the bottom floor, clean and easily accessible. The light rail seems to be a very nice way to take public transport through Seattle.
Im watching elderly people trying to get up these mountainous and NUMEROUS steps because the escalator stays broken at this location. Also, i know how they feel because I just had to do this at 2 light rail stations, Capitol Hill and University Place, just this week. With as much tax dollars as sound transit wants and gets, seems like they could provide restrooms, WORKING escalators and more security...3 stars for the artistic work
Link light rail is efficient and cost effective. Five stars and I don’t care if it is “smelly.” I’m not staying there. But seriously you and the Yellow Cab company need to talk about where you are. They apparently have no understanding of just getting the station name or something like “4th and Pine” to arrive at a destination and you do not give an address anywhere. When visiting and public transportation is essential, throw us a bone and provide some physical address - a store in the area, the restaurant across the street, something, anything. Or better yet why don’t your people meet with the Yellow Cab people and come to an understanding so when ordering a cab passengers are able to say, “corner of 4th and Pine” and the cab company is able to say to their drivers, “you know where it is, it’s the Westlake station. You live here, we ALL know where the rail stations are.”
This is the one of the main stations to get into Seattle Downtown. From this station, you can get into the 3rd, 5th, 2nd, 7th Ave St. Overall, the station is clean, safe, and spacious with clear signs and accessible elevators/escalators. Sometimes, these elevators do not work as expected and it takes so long to fix them. Southbound or northbound trains run every 10 mins on schedule.
In the center of downtown Seattle. Easy ride to / from airport, stadiums, Capital Hill, and all other stops. Easy access to several stores from inside the station.
Westlake station is clean and well lit.
Previously had buses sharing the tunnel - no longer the case. All buses are now on surface streets.
????
Not ADA accessible if the elevators and escalators are broken. Don't say it's accessible if it's not.
