I purchased a used injector pump from them for my old Kubota L285 and the pump works great. It was the exact part I needed and has pumped new life into my old tractor. They were very helpful and friendly to deal with and the pump was shipped out fast. I am so pleased with my purchase, the price and the experience.
I searched for a lower Radiator hose everywhere with no luck and the local hose shop said they couldn't make it either. Another tractor dealer here in Asheville suggested I call West Kentucky Tractor so I did. Roger was extremely helpful and found the hose I needed at a good price. I received the hose in just a couple of days and it was perfect! This was my Dads Tractor before he passed away so I appreciate West Kentucky Tractor and Roger for helping to get it up and running again! Big Thanks!
I have a Kubota B21 that I needed a steering hydraulic pump since I messed up an attempted repair on the pump I had. Going directly to Kubota was out of the question because of the money associated with a new dealer pump so I did a search and found West Kentucky Tractor Parts. I sent in an email request and within an hour or so I got a phone call and an email saying the part was available. I called them back to order the pump and it shipped that day. The price was reasonable. The quality of the pump was EXCELLENT and seemed newer than the pump I took out of my tractor. I just installed it and it doesn't leak and works perfectly. Thank you for making it a pleasant experience and I look forward to doing more business with you all IF I ever need another part.
Needed a engine for my MX5100. They told me they didnt have a complete engine, but a shortblock that was guaranteed to be rebuildable without needing any machine work. I requested some pics of the cylinder walls and crank but Jennifer assured me their "shop" checked everything out and that if I had any problems just send it back and they will make it right as she "guarantees all her parts"
What I was sent was a worn out short block that wasnt even the correct engine and no way to make it even work in my tractor. Shop manager was very belligerent and cursed me out on the phone. Robyn (listed as owner) did the same thing. Telling me its a perfect block and the "light" scratches would come right out with emery cloth....clear she has never rebuilt an engine before. Cursing at me and accusing me of changing my story every time I call. Believe me if this was a good engine that I could make work I wouldnt have sent it back and been forced to spend $7500 for a new engine at the kubota dealer.
They only gave me a partial credit and have stolen $376.96 from me for their mistake and them lying to me about the engine. While they remain whole financially, and still have the engine that they will probably sell to some other unsuspecting buyer.
Buyer beware.
UPDATE in reply to owners response:
I have pictures of the block. Have uploaded them but cannot get them to show up on here...maybe everyone else can see them. But they tell the whole story. This block was far from perfect. And my story NEVER changed. But dealing with rude and belligerent people that like to interrupt you and cut you off and cuss at you, sometimes they don't let you finish telling the story. But its funny how she (the owner) has no response to the fact that THEY SENT ME THE WRONG PART that would NOT work in my tractor even after they ASSURED me it was out of a MX5100.
The owner was the LAST person I spoke to. I spoke to at least THREE other people and informed them it was the WRONG block. One of them even asked me what the differences were as they were "trying to figure out what tractor it came out of". So its clear they have no clue...let alone make a claim it only has 200hrs. THEY got called on their mistake. My story hasn't changed. This is them trying to save face and justify their stupidity.
At the end of the day, I ordered a MX5100 shortblock...and received something different. So the condition of the parts is totally irrelevant. THEY screwed up and now somehow its my fault and I have to pay shipping?
Oh...and they accused me TWICE of getting "Jennifer" fired over this ordeal. Well....if I am truly the idiot they claim and that they have done nothing wrong....what was their justification over firing the person that sold me this part????
And don't worry, you wont ever sell to me again. And likely many more people on some prevalent forums that know this story inside and out.
WKYTP is a dirty, lying, thieving business that is trying to steal $376.xx from me because of their mistake. And rather than do the right thing that 99.99% of good business do and make it right and own up to their error, they throw it back at the customer, blame them, and steal from them. Read the rest of the reviews...yelp, BBB, facebook, etc. The only people that don't have problems are the people that actually get the right part and it works. But all those that have issues....you are screwed. So it just isn't worth the risk ordering junkyard parts from this place without seeing in person.
I bought an ignition switch from West Kentucky for my Kubota. There are several different igntion switches for this model and I received the wrong one. I called them and after a very pleasant conversation they sent me the correct one, even though it was my fault. I now need an exhaust manifold
and they are the first ones that I call. Nice folks.
Big thanks out to Jennifer for personally helping me identify the correct part. I called all over the country to find a specific pitman arm for my tractor with no luck but they they had it. I did receive the wrong part at first but that was because of my incorrect measurments, but with no hassle was able to send it back and the correct one was sent to me the same week!!! Thanks again for the wonderful customer service.
VERY QUESTIONABLE place. When you inquire about a used part - SURE they have it, If you ask if it has specific oddity/option "X" or "Y", SURE they have BOTH. "Which do you want?" But, ask for a PICTURE? Nope, cannot supply one. C'mon, everyone has an HD camera in their pocket now. "Too difficult to get a photo. You send one of YOUR part and we'll check it against ours." Really? REALLY? Seems "fly by night" operation and prices are double to quadruple other tractor bone yards -- suspect WKYTP is locating parts elsewhere and marking them up 100% - 200% and then drop shipping them. I crossed 'em off my list.
NO SIR,
1. I was never rude to anyone. And correct, I emailed, not telephoned, but what is your point? Possibly it's easier for you to later claim the customer is wrong if there is a problem and s/he has no written communication? YES, PLEASE post the emails I sent, without editing them, sir.
In fact here's the exchange re: the photos:
"Is there an issue getting a few pics of the gear covers there? Seems simple. I may end up buying both if they are top notch condition. I just need to confirm the conditions and the filter mount. Pics are a lot easier than shipping back if I’m not happy with them." - Ken
Your reply: "That is why we put a guarantee on all of our parts!! It is difficult for me to get pictures." - unsigned
And my final: "You don’t guarantee return shipping if I don’t want it! And I don’t buy used parts sight unseen. So I guess we’re done." - Ken
2, I asked for THREE photos -- front, back, and the oil filter mount -- certainly an unreasonable request. Why, because there's AT LEAST SIX different covers for those engines and I need to assure I was getting the correct one. An unreasonable request, for sure.
3. If you do not pull and stock used parts, then how (somehow magically?) did you know you had the exact one I needed without asking me for a Kb part number, and how do you know the condition and it is exactly the one I was looking for when It's still bolted on the tractor? And why can't you simply take a pic of it ON the engine? Certainly an unreasonable request, sir.
4. The cover WAS for a friend. I refurb them for marine diesels with all new gaskets, crank seal, o-rings, filter mount, studs, oil relief valve, and undercoat and 500 deg ceramic paint. I must assure that I send the correct part, which means I must assure myself I get the correct one from you. Certainly an unreasonable request.
5. No sir, the part is not $695 new. Depending on the cover part no, it is $180.26 to $300.12 from my usual Kb dealer source (I have the parts website in front of me right now,) but Kb Japan has to cast/ship them, so there is a significant delay. The one I need is $180.26. BTW, those costs are the GEAR COVER, COMPLETE -- the cover w/ gaskets, seal, relief valve, o-rings, etc. Those associated parts are about $60 retail.
6. I DID buy a cover -- at a reputable tractor boneyard that sells gear case covers for $95-$110. And I am buying another for $100 (WITH pictures.) You would have had an instant $400 sale if you provided pictures (or possibly not, if they weren't how you described.)
7. Maybe you can provide a rationale why I would take my time to write a review of WKYTP that was inaccurate -- simply to do so? What would I possibly gain from that, when I didn't buy the part and try to return it and get a run around as other reviewers had said? There is no point in it, and it's not logical. No Sir, I am merely warning others to use caution, but it's their choice whether or not to buy from from WKYTP.
Hard to find parts and blocks. Reasonable prices, and good customer service unless you have an issue with a part.
Should you have an issue, expect not to have phone calls returned for weeks/months and not have West Kentucky follow through with what they had said they would.
