I know the staff are very busy but sighing down the phone and just being rude is not an excuse.
This is a fantastic pharmacy. The staff are accomodating and welcoming. My prescriptions are always there on time, the waiting times are small and my medication always correct. The parking area outside is very small, however across the road there is a larger car park space if need be. There is wheel chair access into the pharmacy.
There is a local cafe, Co-op store, Fish and chip shop, Tesco's, Marks Barbers, Skating shop and many others shops within the same vicinity.
I see that the owner has taken on the vacant shop unit next door.
I'm hopeful that there will be additional seating for those who are waiting to be served but cannot stand for a prolonged period.
I don't want to knock a local business, but let's hope the expansion of the premises will help with the waiting times to get served.
Overall despite the waiting times, I think this pharmacy delivers a very good community service for local people
I'm a regular repeat prescription service user and today was not the finest hour on the front desk. There was no queue so I waited only a couple of mins to be served by a passive aggressive assistant who persisted in telling me I was wrong about my waiting prescription - ranging from it had already been collected, perhaps the surgery had printed it, perhaps I hadn't submitted it. When asked if she had checked correctly it transpires that she could find my order. None of the above applied because the initial check had not sought enough information (address) to precisely confirm who I was rather than who she thought I might be. The whole conversation was unnecessarily loud. The apology I might have anticipated for her error was not made. 21st century service this was not. Time for some remedial training I feel. The fact of less local competition should not mean lower standards - the online options look increasingly attractive against this sort of experience. Come on West Hill - you've been far better than this
I tend to not have all medications there although the doctors confirmed they sent the prescription over and have phoned 11times in a row for the phone to just ring out when they close in an hour ????
Long wait as usual.
Asked for script to be returned, it wasn't back to the long wait AGAIN.
Terrible
Never answer the phone. Tried calling every half an hour for 5 hours about a missing item. Just kept ringing and ringing. I had a colleague try to call as well and still no answer.
I couldn't physically go there due to work circumstances.
Delivery is usually on the correct date though, so that's something at least. Even if it wasn't complete.
Only reliable Pharmacy in Portishead. Friendly and efficient service.
