It’s been a while since we were here but I knew my granddaughter would enjoy the “big apple” pie, we were not disappointed! April did a great job putting lots of whip cream on her hot cocoa, the mozzarella sticks were amazing. Place is clean, updated.
I would prefer to be asked if I want to sit in the bar area. Which I don't. There were plenty of tables in the main dining room. But the food was very good. Lightly battered fried chicken, excellent. Fried fish filled, also excellent. Big side salad and soft loaf of bread. Maybe a bit too much spinach in the dip and pita.
Had reservation for eighteen people on Mother’s Day. I wish someone would have informed us at time of reservation that they had a “limited menu” for that day and no children’s menu was offered. We chose this restaurant in part because of family members with diet restrictions that could not be met with the limited menu. Our waitress (Kaylie?) was extremely pleasant and the best part of our dining experience.
We hadn't been to the Waterloo since our kids were small. I think I had only been there once before. We were early for dinner and practically had the place to ourselves. Our server was wonderful, friendly and attentive. I had a salad and hubby had steak and eggs. The house white French dressing is a must!! Very family friendly with large tables for bigger parties.
We have been coming to the Waterloo for years and yesterday’s meal was one of the best we’ve had. We had a large party (8)- the service was great and the food was excellent. We had everything ranging from the Mediterranean salad to the bison burger and everything was delicious. The sauerkraut balls were amazing. The holiday decorations added such a fun touch and my kids were in love with the Grinch themed Christmas trees! We will be going back again soon!
Everything was great. I had shrimp, tacos, spinach dip. Everything was properly cooked and seasoned.
You don't find restaurants like this much anymore. I ate here for the first time about 4 months ago and have returned 10-12 times since. The food is "homemade" and they offer traditional dishes but always some exciting twists too. Everyone is kind, and the restaurant is kept clean with ample close parking. Lastly, the menu is so affordable, including the homemade pies. I highly recommend!
Food was hot and delicious. Group of 14 very patient we were waiting on our last person to show. Got the women at the other end a Creampuff. It wa so big everyone got a taste
