Very casual place perfect for lunch with friends. I tried the Pineapple Curry lunch special and it was delicious with a large side of rice and pad thai. It was more than enough to have a small to-go portion to bring home. The menu provided lots of options that I look forward to trying out. They even have decent parking for an area where parking is usually limited.
A visit to Wanida is always a top priority when I visit Bellingham! The food is fantastic & the service is always great. I’m still making my way through trying everything on the menu (which will take time because they’re great variety) but you can’t go wrong with any of the delicious options!
Some favorites so far: pad see ew, papaya salad, pad Thai, eggplant with tofu, the fried rice with pineapple, Thai iced tea, & fresh coconuts
The yellow curry is very flavorful as others have stated. The peanut sauce and chicken satay were also very good. I enjoyed the noodles as well. The broth was delicious with a blend of savory and fresh flavors.
Wanida Thai is our favorite Bellingham Thai restaurant. Their food has fantastic flavor, depth, and is colorful. If you like a hot spice level, be sure to order a 5 though. We ordered a 4 and while I was happy to have spice with flavor balance, my dining partner added extra heat from their spice rack.
This restaurant has a nice neighborhood vibe, is on the smaller side, so it has a comfy intimate setting, and has nice decor. The service was good and the food was delivered rather quickly. My dining partner ordered the calamari appetizer here for the first time tonight and said it was tender, not overly oily, and was expertly prepared. Our yellow curry and massaman curry had great mouth feel and taste!
On our way out, the table next to us stopped us to discuss what we had and a nice conversation started. Great little neighborhood restaurant! Highly recommend!
06/24/23: What could I say about this delicious Thai dining place?
The food was great and tasty. I personally love Green Curry with chicken. I wanted to try the bread dipped inside the curry broth, but they did not have pieces of bread.
The owner and staff were super friendly, attentive, and hospitable to all customers. The parking is a little bit small so we parked on the street outside
Overall, I love this restaurant and will come back when I am nearby the area
So I went to Bellingham for some stuff today (May 26) and chose this restaurant based on the reviews obviously. I ordered a Crab Fried Rice and it was unexpectedly so good, the best I have had since leaving Bangkok. Service was great and the guy was very friendly and attentive. Though, I tipped in cash so I forgot my signature on the slip as we are not familiar with this in Vancouver, BC. I hope there is no issue with the payment.
Food is good. Service is good. I 3 stared because I had to drive back for the wings and egg roll sauce the sauce size for the portion is way to small for Spending almost $50. 2 egg rolls the sauce is gone. Got no sauce for the wings unless it's the soy sauce. The red pepper sauce spiced up the pad Thai pretty good. I would say the disappointment was the wings with the lack of flavor. If I go back again I will check my order before I leaving.
The meal was a good size and delicious. Service was good. Friendly waitress.
