"I will not sell any medicine to you. Get out."
This morning, I visited this Walisdown Pharmacy to purchase medicine for my newborn baby. While at the counter, I noticed another product related to dental care that I wanted to inquire about. After completing my purchase, I stepped aside to discuss the tooth repair product with my brother, who is a doctor. However, I was approached by a staff member, a white-haired lady, who demanded the newborn baby product I had already paid for, assuming I was stealing it. she insisted on holding onto it until I made another purchase. I have explained that I had already paid, so i felt bit odd behaviour. so I requested an invoice for the baby medicine, I was initially refused, with the staff member citing a policy after three transactions. Eventually, I received the invoice.
As I was on the phone trying to reach my brother, another staff member, a man, abruptly stood in front of me and informed me that I would not be allowed to make any further purchases, telling me to leave and accusing me of wasting their time, despite not blocking them in any way. If they had concerns about my presence on the phone, they could have asked me to step aside and make a decision before returning to make a purchase, especially since there were no signs prohibiting phone calls in the pharmacy. However, they flatly refused to sell me any medicine.
I felt discriminated against, especially given my brown skin tone heritage, and deeply disappointed and insecure about the level of service provided. Upon further reflection, it appears this behavior may not be isolated, as I've noticed similar complaints about the rude behavior of certain staff members, particularly the white-haired lady, in other Google reviews. It's completely unacceptable to refuse service to a paying customer, and I strongly advise against patronizing this pharmacy. As for my next steps, I'm uncertain, but I'm decided not to return to this pharmacy again.

Went to get my second jab on 18/03/2022. Was welcomed by a lovely lady who took the time to make sure I was okay and really reassured me. The gentleman doing the vaccinations was the same, very nice and the whole experience was over very quickly and it was really efficient. Would definitely go back if I need anything else.
Possibly the best pharmacy in Dorset. Speed, efficiency and friendliness and let’s not forget helpfulness and advice available. No one is ‘too busy’ to stop what they’re doing to help a colleague or a customer. I am so glad this is my closest pharmacy and that I eventually changed to here as I was very happy at the Asda pharmacy and to be honest always a scared of change as you never know what you’re going to get elsewhere.
But really happy I changed!
