Surprisingly this place was empty. I thought they were closed. I mean I guess breakfast in a nice Sunday afternoon isn’t anyone’s go to but man that was wild. They took my order, made my food, and I was out. Good stuff. Waffle was perfect even though I wasn’t a big fan of the strawberries.
Came into waffle House, airline Boulevard Portsmouth the place was not clean. There was bacon on the floor where they cook all the stainless steel where they cook was nasty all they do in there is joke and and play the health department needs to be called in the floors were nasty. The tables were not wiped down good and where they cook there was food everywhere, wet and the next day and it never got cleaned up all over the place and up where they cook the eggs all up underneath they had food everywhere like they didn’t do it in days, if you come out and Portsmouth, please do not eat there. You don’t know what you’re gonna come down with
The entire staff were friendly and welcoming! We don't have Waffles House in Washington DC, we have IHOP, so I was excited to finally get to eat here. I came in for breakfast and immediately noticed the southern hospitality! The team working were all smiles, the food was prepared just the way I ordered it. The prices are beyond reasonable and the service was amazing! If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely make it my business to stop in for breakfast!
Had to delete an old review of this place to recreate an accurate one . The staff here epitomizes one thing and that's incompetence. Yesterday my wife and I went in, we sat at the bar and they were busy so we weren't rushing them. Then 20 mins later we still hadn't gotten a server, and 3-4 tables who had sat down after us had all already been served, yet we couldn't even get an order taken. Only one employee even acknowledged our existence in the place and that was to wipe the bar in front of us and tell us, "I'm covering down for the other seats at the counter, not you guys" when we asked for coffee and water.
Against my better judgement I tried them again. The combination of incompetence and poor planning can't be overcome. I waited 25 mins for my meal,when it finally arrived it wasn't even the correct order and it was cold. They were prioritizing online orders instead of patrons in seats. Which is what I suspect happened from my previous visit. I stay on the previous recommendations, go to a different restaurant and if waffle house is what you really want, go to the one in deep creek or battlefield
Do not go in this place. Go to any of the other local locations, or completely different restaurants, wherever, any where but this waffle house.
Came here at like 11 pm, with no one else in the dining area. First, they got my mom's hashbrowns wrong, and then we waited 30 minutes on my uncles waffle and coffee. They charged us for the waffle we did not get, and we never received the coffee. They served our food in togo boxes and cups? Like what??? Also, grits had a weird texture. Servers spent more time socializing than actually serving. I could continue, but overall, awful service. Dakota seemed pretty nice, though. Kudos to Dakota.
I order to go I didn't like the fact you guys take 20 percent of the order. I order the tmTexas toast burger with hashbrowns. I ask for onions and cheese in the hashnrowns plus extra onion l. I didn't have mot 1 onion in my hashbrowns.they wasn't cooked properly. And it's supposed to have pickles on the side. I didn't receive my pickles. It was a mess. The tables still had food and plates on them and the store was empty. It was a Nad service
It needs improvement from the workers to there training to much.hands on with no leadership
Update i return to see if any improvements no it wasn't the food fall short presentation it not there food look here eat it BLT got lose somewhere old letter just a mess the good thing was the waitress name porkchop yes her name
This is always the best waffle house around for me. Always friendly, clean restaurant, and the food is right. Way beyond any other waffle house
