Best KPortal Reviews
This review is only for the dac biet/special sandwiches only. Baguette was nice and soft and a little crisp outside. Veggies and proteins are fresh. Definitely one of the better banh mi places. They also have a good selection of drinks as well.
Very good banh mi. The bread itself is always good, never stale or well done where it cuts the inside of your mouth. I go here specifically for the grilled pork/thit nuong sandwich. Something about the flavor here makes it one of my favorites. Some places make it too sweet or it's too fatty. The cold cut is also delicious. They have a wide variety of beverages and snacks!
This unassuming sandwich shop packs a punch. My new favorite apot for banh mi. The bread is so light and perfect. It's light, flavorful, and not tough or stale. The meat is perfectly grilled. The smoothies taste so fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back for more. Customer service was also great. I love it.
This may be my new favorite Banh Mi place when I got to OC. It’s all about the bread and fillings. The bread is a slim French bread as long as my forearm. Slightly toasted with a soft crispy texture.
Always, always get extra pate and butter/mayo sauce! It makes a huge difference. We got #1 special ($5.75), #4 grilled pork ($5.25), #6 meat ball ($5.50). Also got #36 shaken beef macaroni ($12). It was with penne pasta with so much flavor and lots of meat combined with onion, red and green bell peppers.
The meatball sandwich was moist and had the tomato sauce. The special sandwich had the different layers of meat. But it was the extra Mayo and pate that tied all the flavors together to keep it moist.
If you have a crave for some banh mi, definitely give this place a try. Fresh veggies with plenty meat. Tastes a lot better than the bigger chains. Price is really reasonable as well.
Mi sao was good. Also had the salted fish and chicken fried rice and vegetarian tofu sandwich. The sandwich was not spectacular. The salted fish and chicken fried rice was good. Two out of three dishes were good. Also ordered a Taro milk tea. Made from a powder so not that great. Service was great though!
Best Banh Mi in Orange County. Best Vietnamese Fast food in OC. Best Banh Mi dac biet in Orange County. Best Vietnamese pork belly sandwich in Orange County. They also have the best sardine sandwich which is pictured below. This place practices social distancing guidelines. They are very clean and their sandwiches are one of the best in OC!
Definitely up there with the best banh mis in OC. Crispy exterior bread with soft interior, and the delicious pickled carrot and daikon complement any protein they offer so incredibly well. Lemongrass beef #16 was really good. Also got the #9 bbq pork which wasnt bad but had a more traditional american bbq taste that i didnt expect. Will definitely be coming back in the future!
