Very rude and disrespectful I am on lunch Waited for about 5 minutes in the road, then didn't even get my order taken. Had to wait all the way up to the window to order my food once. I ordered my food and paid. I asked for sauce and was told. I was being charged 30 cents for each sauce which was not told to me. Prior asked for a manager's phone number, the daughter of the. Owner, very disrespectful, rude. No compassion, no understanding I get that it is lunch and we are busy at these times especially working in a fast food restaurant, but no compassion, no understanding, not even being nice. And it cost me $13 for a corn. Dog and fries worst establishment ever in the valley So there are no gloves being worn y prepping food, so people's nasty hands with dirty fingernails are touching our burgers, our corn dogs and our fries, and you can see it through the window. The place is very dirty and not put together
I've seen this place and driven by it for many years. I finally stopped by for dinner at 6:15 pm on a Tuesday. There was one car ahead of me in the drive thru. They took my order quickly. Then it took FOREVER to get my hamburger and tots. The girl at the window was nice enough but moved like molasses. When I did get my food, I was really disappointed. I expected a great hot burger and tots because the place has been there for so long. The burger was only warm and very blah, as were the tots and sauce. Not good at all. I will definitely not return. There are a lot of good family drive-ins in Boise that serve a fabulous burger. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. I can't recommend Viking Drive In.
The food was fine, but it was overpriced for what you got. With a side you get a miniscule cup of fry sauce and they charge you .30 for another. It's not a huge deal, but is annoying. Just give us slightly bigger dip cups! There's no way I will ever go again unless they dramatically lower their prices. There are a lot of great drive-ins in Boise, but this is not one of them.
It can't decide what the best part was. First off the young lady working was professional, fast, & very friendly. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, it was fresh, hot and the perfect amount of little bit messy. Viking drive in is a great choice when you're in the area AND you're supporting local!
My husband and I stopped here for dinner. The one taking the order was very pushy and didn't give us a chance to really look at the menu. We got our food pretty quickly, but the f
ood was terrible. I ordered a swiss mushroom bacon burger without the bacon and they didn't even put the mushrooms on it. I ordered fries and they were hot, but not done. My husband ordered onion rings and they were greasy and way undercooked. Needless to say I do NOT recommend this place.
Viking drive-through has been a mainstay in Boise since the 60s at least. I remember going here as a kid and having an awesome meal. Today, I ordered a chicken, bacon, ranch, tots, and a shake. The only thing that was good was the shake. The tots were bland with no seasoning. They were not crispy. The chicken sandwich initially had the tomato left off. I had to ask for that, and I felt like the chicken was undercooked. I was unable to finish it. It barely had any browning on it at all, and did not taste good. Unfortunately, I’m sad to say I cannot recommend this establishment any longer. I would love to have left him a great review.
You’d expect more finger steaks and atleast have meat on them if you’re paying $18 for this plus a large curly Fry! ridiculous. usually i stop in for a burger and theyre amazing but if this is your portion size for “Dinners” i’ll take my money else where that’s for sure. Last time me and my family will be supporting this business. i hope you guys do better.
This is my favorite spot for burgers in Boise. They have a vast selection of shakes and serve malts! Everything is made to order and really good. Great onion rings.
