After failing at the Mexican food place down the street, Via Mar was a nice change. Large TV’s, friendly staff, plenty of space and most importantly, great food. I had the two pescado tacos (battered) on a delicious corn tortilla. Not sure if they were hand made but tortilla quality matters. Fresh cabbage, spicy salsa made for a great meal.
This part of town has many Mexican restaurant choice and this one should be on your seafood list.
Beautiful place, friendly staff.. excellent customer service!! Food was fresh and well prepared!! I was impressed with their chips and "beans salsa" tastefully delicious????????????????????????????????????????
Food was excellent. Our waitress however, was not pleasant at all. She genuinely seemed annoyed the entire time we were there for some reason. We are a super quiet, polite family. Always please and thank yous. Hoping she was just having a bad day and it wasn't her normal behavior.
Awesome food and great customer service. The best burrito in southern California in my book or one of the best. Very big and they use real carne asada. They use the very big traditional Sonoran flour tortilla and they don't hold back like most places where they over charge you for a burrito that is not worth it . This burrito they offer here plain or wet is worth the price. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
I've been here twice. The first time our food was delicious and we came on a weekend with the family and ate outdoors. They had live music and it was a very nice experience. The second time around was a weekday and we ate indoors. Food was alright , not above and beyond like the first time, but still good. It was nice and quiet and our waitress was absolutely wonderful with us! I do recommend you try and even more so on a weekend in the outdoor patio.
Loved the service and the food was so delicious recommend for any one to go try it, you won't be disappointed.

Pretty good food had happy hour dishes when I went. Two tacos el gobernador which are cheesey shrimp tacos, they were my favorite thing I ate. We also got an order of camarones al ajo the plate came with rice and seasoned fries. The shrimp flavor was good but they were a bit over cooked. We had two orders of tacos the camarones al ajo and two beers and a coke total came out to $35. Definitely worth stopping by for happy hour. Also we loved the bean dip they bring out with the chips we ate the whole thing.
