We had a really great Christmas Eve dinner tonight with my sister in law and family. The price fixe menu was very reasonably priced and the food was super yummy. The owner Gary was very friendly and we will definitely be back.
Verona is a great hidden gem in Farmingdale! There is a lot of variety especially vegan and vegetarian options. My family and I went during restaurant week and were all very pleased with our food, all six of us! The service was also great and there was even live music on the Saturday night we visited. I will definitely be returning.
The place is very nice and the staff are amazing. Our server Stephanie was pleasant and Jose was phenomenal.
We all got the special and it is very worth it. Delicious food all around.
It's a great place with friends and I can see taking a date here too.
The place has party areas with different sizes for birthdays and number of people, very attentive and friendly service, delicious food, a wine that the waiter Miguel recommended, it was right for my palate... very good prices according to the pocket, Excellent!! sure i will come back !!
Was in town because a loved one passed and needed a place for our group to meet after. They were accommodating. Good ambiance. Attentive service. Food was pretty good, but not fantastic.
Tomato sauce on the veal dish with mushrooms was a little more like tomato soup, slightly creamy, wasn't bad but not what I had expected.
The price on the set menu was reasonable but I did find the fact that everyone has to get the same first dish not ideal. Luckily they were accommodating to diet restrictions for those who needed it and substituted something else.
Also, there was a charge on the bill for putting the table together for our event... not sure if this is standard practice, but it's something to be aware of.
Overall, very good experience and I would highly recommend checking this place out when in the area.
We've been here several times with small groups (4) and larger (12+) and everything has been wonderful!
One of my favorites is the veal chop. It's served "tomahawk style" & is so tender and delicious that you don't need the sauce. Don't get me wrong, the sauce is good, too, but the chop is perfect be itself!!
We planned a Christmas dinner here based on the reviews and the gluten free menu. We were one of two tables in the place. Food was great, service was great and we loved the holiday decorations. I’ve passed this place a million times with no hesitation but it’s definitely worth a visit.
The food is good but nothing to write home about however their baked clams and stuffed mushrooms are delicious. We were the first 2 people there for lunch. The service was poor. There's a tall gentleman who was supposed to be our server and yet he never took care of us. He only sat us at our table, he didn't even as much as bring us our menus. We waited about 10 minutes to get our menus and they were given to us by one of their busboys. So the whole time we were served by 2 pleasant busboys one of then named Martin and let me tell you that his service was fenomanal. I told the manager on our way out how the waiter never took care of us and that Martin saved the day and the manager had no response showed absolutely no concern. We were a party of 2 we were there for lunch and spent over $140.00. You would think that we would have been provided with better service. I give Verona an F on service of course as far as Martin he gets an A+. Also important to mention this was not the first that we were provided with lousy service from that same waiter.
