Great food with perfect portions, friendly service, and love the homemade deserts! Highly recommend for down home cooking and be sure you mark your calendar for the ham balls!
Small town bar and grill located adjacent to a bowling alley on the main drag in Vermont. Clean interior with friendly hometown charm. The wait staff is both pleasant and classy. While it does serve some midwest bar favorites, there are a few eclectic surprises on the menu. How many communities of less than 1000 serve alligator. Well, Mercers does. Both as fried alligator strips and on a hoagie bun. And Mercers serves a burger called the hop tank. This is a bacon cheeseburger with macaroni and cheese, more cheese, and fried pickles. Talk about comfort food. Mercers is a place for good food in a pleasant atmosphere that is reasonably priced.
Pretty good food, cold beer. Old style bowling alley with only 6 lanes.
The death by cheeseburger is amazing. Other items are only decent. Also, the cheese curds are great. Definitely a bar with a grill. There is an old bowling alley next door, but the hours are sporadic.
I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries cauliflower and it was delicious! Great atmosphere and decor and friendly and efficient staff!
Large servings. My husband and I both had ribeye sandwiches with carmelized onions . Good flavors and seasonings.
Surprisingly large variety specials throughout the month be sure to follow them on Facebook to see what the special is. Steak, lobster tail, or ham balls just to name a few!
Very nice people and the food was amazing! It has become our new favorite place to eat.
