Sam is amazing!!! I was having problems with my transmission and the dealership was quoting me around $10k to fix it which was just not an option. My friend referred me to VAS auto repair who was able to get the job done for $4k in under a week!!! He kept me updated with texts and calls and was always available when I tried to reach him. Super reliable and kind service. I’m referring everyone I know to Sam now - he’s simply the best!!
Sam is honestly the most kind and honest mechanic I’ve met. I took my car in and he had it back to me completely fixed just a few hours later. My car is driving better then ever and I feel very safe while driving it now. What a relief! I was recommended to VAS Auto and I’m so glad I went! I highly recommended it! Sam the owner is a great guy, on top of a great mechanic. He's as honest as they come, and is always straightforward with everything, including fair and reasonable prices. He lays out all the options for you and gives you as much insight as he can to help you figure out the best course of action for your needs.

This Review is long overdue, But These folks really deserve it. Great service and great people. A little over a year ago I took in my car for a break change, and being a college student, I didn't have much money to go around and didn't know much about breaks changes. He really sat with me to discuss the options and their pros vs cons. I could not have felt more at ease about making the right decision in the end. He made sure I got a good (and extremely affordable for a student) brake job done without jeopardizing anything or cutting any corners. Overall a very great experience and I would definitely Recommend V.A.S to any students looking for a good mechanic!
Sam did my oil change and tune up. One of the best experiences I've had at a mechanic. He even checked my brakes and told me how much longer they would last. I'll see you guys in 1 month for my brakes.
I deeply regret taking a chance on this auto shop.
I initially went in for an a/c repair that turned into a $1000 replacement. One month later I began having troubles with my ac again. I took it back to him and he had it for a few days and told me it was fixed.
I went to go pick it up, and my first red flag was that he wanted me to pay $150 for the repair, which was not discussed until I'm picking up my car. I told him it shouldn't be breaking a month after I paid $1k for him to put that part in my car. They also took my copy of the receipt from the first repair out of my car and 'forgot' to give it back until I noticed and asked. Upon driving home, I immediately noticed that my ac didn't work at all. So I turned around to go see what the deal was, and he said his dad drove it and told him the ac was fixed. So he didn't even test it before calling me to come pick up my car. Great.
Over the course of the next week, he gave me these excuses:
-we don't know whats wrong
-your car is too old to have working AC (2007 mazda, after he literally told me the ac is working again/it's his ac unit??))
-I cant test drive cars because there are too many in the shop
-your car is black, black cars are always hot (3 different times he said this, not until after I paid him the $1000 though)
-the AC we put in your car was bad, a good one would have been "too expensive" (that was never mentioned during repair)
So after finding out he GAVE MY CAR to another shop that I had never been to or heard of, AND I have to pay him "whatever they charge" him to fix the sub-par ac unit he installed, I demanded he get my car back from them (he did not ask me before giving them my car) and went to go take it back from him. And of course when I get there he tells me he thinks my car is fixed LOL (surprisingly it was not)
On my way out of his shop he told me "I'm not a bad guy I promise" though so at least he's a really good guy right?? Seriously though, I wish I could have my thousand dollars back so I could flush it myself and save them the trouble. What a joke.
Had some work done that required the car stay overnight. I picked up the car but noticed the passenger window was slightly open.....when I hit the up button I heard all kinds of strange noise and it would not go up. It was then I found some money missing from my center box about $4 and the window cables were broken. The car was left on the street overnight and they HAD to know it was broken into and explains the strange looks I was getting asI drove off. The fix on the window cost me $500. That's the last time I would ever go there.
I just had my car repaired at this facility and they were awesome, fixed my car in a timely manner at a very reasonable price. I would totally recommend this shop if you need repairs. I am very satisfied.
