Very friendly staff. Food was. Good nice atmosphere. Very clean everyday they have specials we went on a Wednesday it was 7.00 chicken dinner...they give very good portions of food
Kinds of a basic, no frills bar and restaurant. I've been here several times, and the food is always great. The pork chops vesuvius, Godfather sandwich, sausage and peppers and the all you can eat lake perch are some of our favorites. Very friendly and attentive servers, too. The only negative I can think of is that it's always cold in there, so make sure you bring a jacket.
This place is an actual joke. First of all, we sat at our table for over 2 hours just waiting for our food to even come to the table, listening to the servers complain to every. single. table. about how short staffed they are… Everyone is short staffed, we get it, but we didn’t come here to listen to you complain for hours on end. The steak tastes like rubber, and the fries came with a fried sardine in them. My mom has an allergy to fish and we were not told at any point, nor was it stated on the menu, that these items were cross contaminated, let alone, served together. We asked to speak to a manager, who took 45 minutes to even come to the table, and dragged her cook (Joe) out of the kitchen, and presented him as the problem, which was already unprofessional enough. We calmly told them that this was a huge problem, as our mom has a severe severe allergy, to which the manager said “I can’t with this, I can’t” and walked away. Meanwhile, Joe (the cook) stayed at our table, getting super hostile, yelling and swearing at us about how it’s our fault for not telling them about the allergy (we ordered nothing with fish in it) and that they have no responsibility to disclose that EVERYTHING IS COOKED IN THE SAME OIL. So apparently here, you have to specifically tell them if you would like your fries to be just fries, and not fried sardines.
This is the most unprofessional, and straight up disgusting place I have ever been to. If you have any other options, go there instead!
A hidden gem in Palos Hills - reasonably priced. Great staff. Delectable dishes! Chef Joe is always on point with his incredible cuisine. Soups are homemade with ❤️ love
Still as rough and old school as I remember it for 45 years. Took my mom for her 92 birthday. Try the bananas foster. Inside joke. But will be back to harass the crabby, loveable bartenders. Tuesday is fried chicken day. Reserve your spot.
Love this place! Friendly staff and wonderful food! Everyone talks to each other at the bar!!! The family meals on weekends are great! Says feeds 4-6, but really like 6-8!!!
I took a chance and ordered the steak vasuvio and it was kind of oily for my taste but everyone else said they enjoyed their food. It was really busy so service was kind of slow due to being overwhelmed. There was a comedy show down the street so I'm assuming the large crowd was headed that way after eating.
I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. Thursday night's dinner was a total disappointment. The people eating in the restaurant were warm and friendly. One person was waiting on a lot of tables.
