This was my 1st visit to Valley Dairy and I was not disappointed. I was greeted by friendly staff upon my arrival and our wait staff was just like a breath of fresh air. The food was well prepared and delicious (you gotta get the beer cheese for your fries!) and didn't take long to arrive at our table. All items on the menu are well priced so eating here won't break the bank! Loved it!!!
This was my families go to spot , service and food was perfection. The last 3 visits have been HORRIBLE. 3 visits ago the server was horrible, she spent most of the time outside on the phone & the manager was so rude so we decided to do take out for awhile . Our next visit was take out , the manager embarrassed my son literally yelling out “you only have 9cents on your card “, he handed him the wrong card & was so embarrassed. So now our last visit , again same manager was so unprofessional and rude to my son actually debating with him about a milkshake we ordered, finally a nice waitress intervened and said my son was correct and handed him a melted milkshake. This time the food was absolutely inedible, this was one of our favorite dishes the double patty melt ( see attached pic). I’m so sad our family will need to find a new spot but clearly you’re not taking the bad reviews seriously as I see many same as mine. Won’t be back!!!!
Great diner in Butler! Definitely an off the beaten path choice. Compared to the Applebee’s and Chili’s in the neighborhood but you won’t be disappointed. Great menu great service clean atmosphere. One of my favorite places to go. Never disappoints.
Food was excellent. We got a western omelet and a breakfast wrap. Really good. Felt like we went back in time to a small town diner. We will be going back.

We were very quickly but waited a while before anyone talked to us. A manager came by and explained that he was short staffed but was trying to get to everyone. Our waitress had no care or professionalism to her job. She had taken our orders, we watched as she kept taking our food to the wrong tables, never once came back to give us an update on our food or give us refills. The hostess and bus person were both avoiding doing any type of work. After an hour and a half my wife and I walked out without our food. I felt sorry for the manager that was cooking, waiting on tables, seating people, cleaning tables and everything else he was to do. My next visit up this way, we may try again for a 2nd chance, we may not.
I stopped coming here a few years ago when the service and food had gone down hill. I gave it another try and was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good. The remodeling was great. The quality of food and selection have all improved.
Don't be in a hurry to get your food and don't expect the order to be correct. 35 min to get a grilled cheese and soup (out of soup) and a ham omelet (forgot the ham). This is the 3rd strike for this restaurant. I will not be returning.
